Can you please tell us , if we need to book mt titlis , jungfrau , mt pilatus , glacier express tickets in advance to ensure availability or its easily available to book on the day of travel. I recently purchased a Swiss Travel Pass (second class) and have a few questions about using it: 1. For travel within major stations, like going from Lucerne to Kriens, do I need to purchase a separate ticket through the SBB app or at the station, or can I hop on the train with my Swiss Travel Pass? 2. When booking through the SBB app, do I select “GA Travelcard, 2nd class” under the "Travelcards for Switzerland" section in the passenger info? Is that the correct option for the Swiss Travel Pass? 3. For journeys where reservations are mandatory, like the Glacier Express, do I need to buy the ticket separately in advance? And if my reservation is in first class but my Swiss Travel Pass is for second class, can I upgrade to first class through the app or at the boarding station? I’d appreciate any insights or advice from those who have experience with this! Thanks!

1. Separate ticket not required. Just board train with Swiss pass. 2. Yes you can select GA travel card 2nd class. Its like Swiss pass. 3. For panaromic trains you only need to book reservation, from their website. Check our trains in Switzerland video for details 👍🙂

Hi , I require one day Swiss pass, as you told one day saver pass can be taken , if we take this saver pass card then pls. Advise that entire travel by train for one day is free of cost anywhere in Swiss area ? Sir. Greetings from USA on our 4th July independence day! Your Vlog was very useful and gave a good detail on STP and very much appreciated. We will be in Switzerland from Aug 20 to Sep4 with 4 days in Lucerne area (specifically Stans) and the remaining days in Thun for daily activities. We are getting a 15 day STP. Still have some questions on STP. 1. So the STP is good on Trains/ trams/ Buses / certain ferries etc., anywhere in Switzerland (understand exceptions like mountain rails, cogs etc. 2. As far as trains, with STPass, are you allowed to board only SBB trains or other trains are OK too. Eg. Travelling from Thun to Zermatt there is a SBB train from Thun to Visp, and from Visp to Zermatt MGB (Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn), Does STP allow free travel on the 2nd leg by a non SBB train? 3. On the above train as an example as you mentioned, local trains don't require reservation. If no seats do they allow standing passengers. Cant wait for that day... I hear that Visp to Zermatt has some line damage issues from recent floods and hope it gets fixed soon. Finally Thanks for all the nice Vlogs and info videos you do.

Book the Zurich to paris Ticket from Sbb website.. And while booking select Swiss travel pass in existing travel card option. Sbb will automatically charge only for journey outside Switzerland 👍

@@desilifeineurope Thank you very much ! I was not expecting your reply so quick :) ! I am planning London-Zurich-Lucern-Interlaken-Zermatt-Zurich for 8-9 days trip. We are vegetarian and also prefer cooked food so i have figured out that Lucern/Interlaken we can buy Indian Groceries but yes Zermatt dont think so. This is my first time trip and i believe in stop and live the time and not running around like we have to touch every place in our trip. Please provide any suggestions if you have. My plan is 2- Days Lucern/3D-Interlaken/2D-Zermatt.

Hello I am traveling to Switzerland in April for 7 days......I have a 5 year old kid with me.....we are planning for rent a car so that we can have flexibility......is it ok?.....is it cheaper than swiss pass?.....we are not interested in museum. We are planning to visit there only for scenic. We will visit only mount titlis and joufrag only by train so that day we can take flex card right?......plz reply we are confused

Yes.. Car is also ok it could be cheaper if many people are there.. And to go top of mountains you can buy direct mountain Tickets.. No need of flex pass..

No. Check for Lausanne monthly local Pass. Its very cheap and should be used for local commute.

Since I am also travelling on a Swiss travel pass (Aug 20- 4 Sep), a question came up and you perhaps have done some research. Does STP allow travel on SBB train only, or other intercity rail operators are OK on that pass. eg a trip from Thun to Zermatt, has 2 trains SBB from Thun to Visp, and the 2nd leg Visp to Zermatt by MGB rail. wondering if STP passes ok on non SBB trains? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
