I have loved Switchfoot since my daughter was in high school. She is now 33 Yr old!! We followed them all over Texas from Corpus Christi to Houston, Austin in the freezing cold at Stubbs, to 6 flags in Dallas. Their music turned my faith back to God after a Sad Divorce. This is beautiful and not a letdown

This is the first album I ever bought with my own money. I was 16 and mowed lawns. It ended up affecting me, becoming part of me more than any other album ever.

I'm sure you guys have heard this a million times but this was the album that made me a fan. My mom got me Learning to Breathe as a gift a few years prior but the opening riffs to "Meant to Live" just had me hooked and I wanted more. I think "Meant to Live" and "On Fire" are possibly my two favorite songs from the album and having seen you guys live twice I love singing along with "Gone"

The song Gone was literally a prophecy to me... i was trying to hold on to a flimsy relationship and that song literally played in my mind. I remember that album took forever to come out. I started going to the chatroom around LTB (around 2000. Indirectly met my wife through the SF chatroom too), and that turned into the discussion boards, which announced the album, followed by many announcements of delays. But definitely worth the wait.

Just pored over this beautiful album remake… I’m remembering where I was when I first heard these songs at 13 years old and hearing it now as a husband and father at 32…. 🥲 they mean even more to me now than they did then I think. It feels like I’m listening to it for the first time all over again and I can’t thank you guys enough for this beautiful gift! You guys have and will continue to be my favorite band. I still remember watching these guys at The Mercury Lounge New York City back in September 2002. Maybe two people knew who the group even was, and the other 50ish had no idea. I still have the setlist🥰

These were the fastest twenty years of my life. I remember buying the album and cranking it up in my car in the way home and thinking it was perfect from start to end. And all this years later still think is perfect and beautiful. Your music is the one I always introduce to non Christian friends that think Christian music is boring and unartistic, and always change their minds.

The Beautiful Letdown is my favorite complete album of all time. Came out when I was in high school and it was the anthems for that time. Both for good and bad times. Our band played the songs everyday just because we enjoyed them so much. I've been to 10+ Switchfoot concerts. My father still has to this day the beginning of "On Fire" for his phone ring tone. So looking forward to this rerecord.

The Beautiful Letdown came out when I was going through an awkward phase of my life and I really connected with every song on that album. Some of those songs were the first songs I wanted to learn on guitar and I still listen to it today! Your guy's music has been so important in how I grew up. Keep on rocking it!

Woah, this is so exciting! This album introduced me to Switchfoot, and I remember listening to it nonstop on my old clickwheel iPod. The song "24" always meant a lot to me, even though I was 10 years younger. When I turned 24 myself, it took on a whole new meaning. Now I'm 30. Man, these songs went a lot of places with me. Thank you, Switchfoot. ❤️

Started listening to you guys at learning to breathe but i remember meant to live playing on the radio at the pool in the summer the year it came out. I remember watching the music video for that song and and for stars when it came out in windows media player back in the day haha.
