I’m going to be switching from t-mobile to Verizon very soon so this is very helpful! 👍👍👍 t-mobile’s service is never good. Yes Verizon costs more but guaranteed you’ll be happy with their signal strength. I had Verizon many years ago and I never had an issue (had it because of a monthly discount from my job at the time lol)
Switched to T-Mobile and had the same experience as you did. From there went to sprint and it was a hair better. Finally tried Verizon and worked great for us. Also pricing was cheaper with family plan. After having the big four carriers I can say that without a doubt Verizon and Att are the best for my area and also the traveling we have done.
Thank you this is wonderful information but this is the kind of nightmare I don't have time for... I can't be driving between stores and making endless phone calls because somebody either at Verizon or T-Mobile messed up. In my family or phones are absolutely critical and there can be no interruption or mistakes.
I am considering switching from Verizon to TMobile. Verizon is HORRIBLE in my area. I pay a premium for Verizon, but as soon as I leave my house I don't get any reception with 10 miles of my area. I cannot understand how I am paying for a Verizon service that does NOT work in the area. The shopping center that is less than a mile away has absolutely NO service if you are with Verizon. I have heard that TMobile has NO issues. Every area and every situation is different. I am glad to hear your service that you pay for is better for you in your area. Verizon for me in my well populated areas is horrible!!!!! I am so frustrated paying for Verizon when I don't get service in my area unless I am home, as in IN MY HOUSE! Best of luck and glad switching to Verizon worked for you.
Thanks for tip about porting number. I called Sprint/t-mobile and she said use my PIN number. Such liars. They don’t want you to leave so they lie. Thank you for straight scoop. Verizon much better in AZ.
had sprint, and forced to switch to tmobile. calls are dropped randomly when i drive a few miles in my car?? out of my home town of Greenville SC NO SERVICE with T mobile.
The link in your earlier post showed forecasted coverage. I tried verizon, at&t, both rated higher by a few tenths. I went t-mobile because of better customer service. I am a partially disabled veteran.
I have total by verizon prepaid , now i had it since November 19 2023, i still have t mobile but i dont use the phone because t mobile in my school in the gym its no good. So i have verizon now but tracfone which is total by verizon, now so im paying $30 a month for 5gb plan.
The monopoly is killing the system. The biggest issue is coverage for each of the providers.Verizon had the best coverage, but their customer service stinks. It’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a customer service person at times. So there we go.
I cannot stand how much I pay for our phones, BUT, I will say that we have had almost no issues with Verizon and coverage is as good as it can get no matter where we have traveled to over the past 6 years. Cell companies are definitely over compensated for what it costs to provide service. They think their consumers are idiots and cannot see the money they throw around on stupid things. Stadiums, etc. That's our money! It is a thin line between services for society and open market capitalism.
We just switched from Verizon Prepaid to T-Mobile. My mom is having issues and I'm not. When talking to one of her friend's over the phone yesterday, she can hear them, but they can't hear her. We paid the activation fees to for both our phones and our plan for the first month and both are phones were previously on Verizon. Both with Verizon IPhone 11's unlocked. We will try it for a month and if she is still having issues, we are going to switch back to Verizon at the end of this month.
@@SergSpace yes. It’s a shame, because we had 100 gigs with T-Mobile for less than Verizon. And if I can hear you, but you can’t hear me then it’s not gonna work out. We had two lines. We had no choice but to switch back.
@@Th33Vultur3 I have 50Gb cap for 5G on Tmobile. After that the speed will drop to 3g.Verizon rep told me that Verizon doesn't have a cap and data is unlimited with 5G high speed. If it's true, than I'm confused when you say: "we had 100 gigs with T-Mobile for less than Verizon" because it sounds that Verizon has a cap on high speed 5G and not unlimited data at high speed.
I just switched to t-mobile and absolutely love it! Way better and better customer services! I wish I should of listen to my guts and went with t-mobile in the first place. It took them ( Verizon) 2 and a half weeks just to tell me they couldn't port my number over. Like wow. So I went to t-mobile and they were able to port me in less then 4 hours and Yes to me verizon live chatting feature sucks. He just kept just asking me the same thing over and over again. I wanted to cuss him out. He kept asking me whats my account number, my pin, my phone number I wanna port over. I gave it to him so many times. I guess he must of not seen in which I had told him that I send it to him already if he just look at the chat log but he just kept asking. I gave up and ended the chat after 6 plus hours. He made me wait so long to reply back to. Like every 20 plus min I get reply but he just kept asking the same thing. There customer services sucks.
I was meant to have the military discount with T mobile from day 1. The bozos at the store neglected to do this for 2 years! I noticed how expensive my plan was and low & behold, I found out they never applied it. They have given me a bit of credit over the years, but my account has a constant balance of 300 or so and I live on payment plans! I want to switch, because the service is terrible in LA. What did you say to T mobile for them to help you out?
That website just goes the carriers provided coverage map which is not very accurate also Verizon doesn't give full video streaming on their postpaid plans unless you are on their UW 5G it goes up to 4K and LTE is only up to 720p I'm shocked TMobile isn't good in your area I know in mine TMobile out performs Verizon and At&t coverage wise and data speed wise but real shit I actually lose service from Verizon and At&t in certain spots but TMobile has coverage sometimes slow but it works
Most people don't realize that they can go with an MVNO like Cricket, Mint, or Visible and have the same coverage as the "big three" networks. I'm on US Mobile (Verizon) and am very happy with it, as their coverage is best in my area.
The account pin is NOT the same as a port pin. You can also do this in your TMobile account like I did. You only need one pin for all phones. I just switched and would have run into problems if I didn’t stumble over this when browsing my TMobile account. **Also your phone does NOT need to be paid off, but you’ll get charged on your next bill if you owe anything for the phones.
Sadly this is not always the case. I've had nothing but issues trying to get a port pin. My family switched and I was the last one (I'm not near them) so couldn't switch when they did. The port pin expired. I tried to get a new one and got kicked out of the account and it said something along the lines of "there have been recent changes to your account. Try again in 24 hours" it has been a nightmare trying to get a new transfer pin from tmobile. 3 days later after trying online and I finally have one after having my dad call and staying on the other line for verification codes, etc. It's a royal pain to switch. Sprint was better before tmobile took over
I have a Pixel phone with esim plus a regular sim slot. I'm already on Verizon system thru Straight talk. T-Mobile has free data you can test their system using the esim in my phone. I was not impressed with T-Mobile data and the signal was not as good as Verizon. My phone was showing both signals at the same time since I had two sims going. T-Mobile gave my esim a temporary phone number. I could have made phone calls also but the data speeds were slower on T-Mobile in my town. Straight Talk is not letting the Hotspot work even though they include it in the data plan. It's a little messed up since Verizon bought Trac Phone. I had high hopes for T-Mobile
@@myreview-aaronfischer Dealt with Verizon customer service and it's straight garbage. Tmobile customer service was always able to take care of issues and even credit me for any payment issues. I have both carriers. Verizon has better coverage in rural areas, Tmobile is cheaper and better customer service for me.
@@Tkz9000 but honestly as of right now, idk who to really stay or stick with, i just got back on tmobile 2 weeks ago from metro and my phone was cracked bad and wanted to switch and tmobile had some promotions but i should of looked at verizon. but im newly with tmobile now and with my s22 ultra, but now i found out about the data breaches and alot of ppl are saying tmobile is BSing ppl and they wont fix their cyber security they been saying that for years, so im kinda in a hole, stick with tmobile while coverage and 5g is awesome and i love it but the data breaches are really bad or verizon but ive been hearing the current CEO is BSing the network and the network isnt getting better but others say it is but like you said the customer service is horrible, and personally for me tmobile customer service was great when i originally had them a few years ago, and got an american person almost 80% of the time. so idk what to do.
@@Tkz9000 No they don't. I had a Tmobile signal disappeared as same as this man without warnings. Customer service gave a 5 bucks off but didn't give an estimation when their team was going to fix tower, however they dragged me through useless phone maintenance.
This guy gave a lot of bad info. iPhone is NOT the only phone that supports esim. It’s called a Transfer pin NOT a port pin. You don’t go to stores for issues the stores are for sales only. All this could have been avoided if this guy would have just signed up in a Verizon corporate store to begin with.
Well, I was with T-Mobile for 8 years and for the last 4 didn't even have service at my house or anywhere where I live. I now have great service with Verizon and it's actually cheaper than T-Mobile with our family plan. Best decision ever.
I tell you one thing I made the switch from Spectrum internet to Verizon FIOS gigabit and Verizon postpaid get more plan from T-Mobile. And good riddance Spectrum & T-Mobile alleluia!!!
When I switched from t mobile to Verizon last year it was a Nightmare the had to talk to Verizon Fraud department before I can start the service then they sent me a Damage 5G sim so I was Stuck waiting for new sim so I can use it in my t mobile s21 on Verizon because t mobile 5G network was trash 🗑
I would call customer service again. I am sure there are services online that can unlock it too. Once it's paid off....that's pretty messed up if they don't...
They have to legally u lock the phone if u meet two stipulations. The phone is paid off completely and the account is also paid off and in good standing as well
you have to say you travel outside of US, and you need to unlock. If not, they wont do it for you, even u pay off your phone. They afriad you switch.. also, it depends on their mood. if u call a lady representative, they wont do it. Really? oh yeahhhh bro
Verizon wont give you free wi -fi. I have my pwn phone bought separately already .Screw Verizon .In store at the Verizon mothership headquarters in chicago on michigan avenue , they have to CALL somewhere. They have NEVER been able to truly help me EVER in 12 years ,with anything at Verizon . All I ever got was a super sleazy salesman trying to get me to buy something or get something I did not want , or need , never being of any use , very disingenuous , unprofessional , waste if time .The store also has this cheap cologne smell to compliment the sleazy , un helpful salesperson . Exhausting .
We just switched and ported from TMobile service cause TMobile sucked. VERIZON WIRELESS is ABSOLUTELY horrible. #PLEASE DO NOT SWITCH EXPECTING TO GET BETTER OR BEST SERVICE. NOT HAPPENING FOLKS😡
I have to say I am 100% behind you t mobile is the worst they have the worst customer service possible. I purchased a new i phone 12 pro max back in 2020 at that time they told me if I traded in my phone i had the new iPhone would be free. After I got my first bill I called them up and said they were charging me for the phone that was supposed to be free and there excuse was they did not receive my old phone so they have to charge me full price. This went on for over 1 1/2 years each time they said the y never receive my phone. I then went down to the t mobile store were a supervisor told me the only way to fix the problem was to upgrade my other iPhone that my daughter uses and he would give me that one for free so it should even out the price well that did not work either because now they are charging me for to new phones that were supposed to free. So after spending over 2000 hours on the phone with supervisors and managers I got a hold of some one who said yes we do have your phone and it has been here since 2020 So i asked how do I fix this problem I have been paying 41 dollars for over a Year and a half can you fix this please they told me the deal is not good anymore because I did not say something earlier when in fact I called at least 2 to 3 times a month complaint about this. After several hours on the phone He said ok you only have 5 more months to pay for the phone so he will take the 41$ a month off my bill by a credit then I ask i have been paying 41$ for over a year and half do I get that money back he said no there is nothing else he could do. So now I am still paying for the other phone that was supposed to be the free to fix problem he said I can not do anything about that. This is just wrong I told them to check all the recordings from my conversations with reps over this period of time and he told me the phone calls are not recorded WOW every time i call it says this line is being recorded but probable another lie They were also charging me for a ipad I never got and a Apple Watch I never had. I was paying over 200 a month for 2 phones I tried to switch several time but they told me I would have to pay off my phones that were suppose to be free before I could switch carriers at a price of over 1000 for each phone well then why was i paying 41 $ plus 41 $for my daughters phone that was not needed but I was told that was going to fix the problem This is complete bs. I still owe over a 1000$ for a phone one that was supposed to be free and I have been paying for for over a year and a half that 1000 price should be lower then that So I can not switch carriers until I have 2000$ to get out of plane another bs So now I am stuck with t mobile or I will lose my number witch I do not want to do. But I might have too I also told them to stop the auto pay option until this problem is fix and they took out 1000 from my account with out my consent because I told them to stop the auto pay More BS. There are several other things customer service has screwed me over bye so if you have any kind of ideas to help me with this situation it would be greatly appreciate it and anyone reading this never go to t mobile they will take advantage of you ever chance they get O one other thing was they came out with this price lock guarantee well they found away around that they told me I do not qualify for the over 55 plane well I am not over 55 and never told anyone I was over 55 so that increased my bill by another 50 dollars now I am paying over 300 for 2 phones and some how not paying off the phones it just stays at 1000$ per phone and yes they did call the cops on me when I went into the store again because I wanted to talk to someone who could fix the problem and they told me to leave I said I will leave when you fix this problem and then the cops show up and ask me to leave when I was not being rude or doing anything wrong So if you have any kind of help I would really appreciate it THANK YOU so much and sorry for going on like this because I am just so pissed off because of it and there is no fix in sight
I don’t k ow what else you can do. My first suggestion is to record every conversation you have with them. That’s number one. Talk to your state government for help too.
