Those with ADHD (and others) sometimes become frozen in mental states - whether through hyperfocus, overwhelm/panic, or rumination/obsession. DAMP2 will help you out- Decreasing amped up states by addressing Awareness, Motivation, Possibility, and Pathways. Learn how, and come with your questions!

Is every unawareness of one's condition anosognosia? Is anosognosia exclusively attached to either a personality disorder, or SZ/SZA, BD, ASD, and other cognitive impairment disorders?

Everyone has blindspots and incomplete awareness. Anosognosia is usually applied in what we would consider pathologic states in which a neurotypical person would be expected to perceive a problem.

Great talk, concise and practical. Thank you so much. Besides looking to the left, are there other physical maneuvers that can activate the right lobe?

The laboratory proof for looking left is actually pretty weak. I think that anything that forces you to step back and take a bigger look will help. That was why I pantomimed having a tree in front of my face, and then stepping back.

@@DrJohnKruse Thanks again! Would please consider giving a talk about topics below: - associated learning difficulties that ADHD people experience like different type of dyslexia and how to address them (CBT, etc). - Difficulty in focus due to sensory overstimulation (I don’t find any other way to describe it) for example when the focus is shifted to background sounds or voices rather than the speaker. - Also, if self hypnosis can be helpful in a patient with ADHD. Some people say ADHD brain is not hypnotizable, there are studies claiming that medications and neuro plasticity can change the hypnotizability.

@@MegaMandi1978 thanks for the good ideas. These aren't on my November schedule, but I will try to add them in after that.
