This is not just about celebrate Jamaican music. this is telling us we are the salt of the world. . we are a powerful nation all we need is to unite as a nation.
Epic! 2pac and biggie died for nothing! This proves it! Beenie and Bounty came back and made history twice. 2pac and Biggie can't do that. Which proves being a gangster and a bad man is being an idiot! Only life and love for the creator of the life giver and it's creation made this clash possible! Love life and live good!
This is a Jamaican saying thank you. I was shouting, crying and dancing through the entire show. Thank you both for giving us this platform to showcase our culture to the World. Much respect due. Please ignore Tony Matterhorn. He is a "negative force". He is a lost soul, who is insignificant in the scheme of things.
Swizz said something very important. This is really for the culture because it BLACK OWNED. Not a Cent made(yet) just a straight positive vibe for the culture.
Yo Swiss. As a Jamaican, I wanna say: thank you. You got it fuckin right tonight. The vybz was aligned with the Gods. Epic. Thank you so much. This is what the world needs right now!
Swizz this didn't feel to me like a clash its more like a celebration of both Beenie and Bounty. Also a celebration of our culture. Bless up to you and Timberland and others who made this possible I feel so proud as a Jamaican. One love
Just remember people... Hip hop was born from reggae and dancehall... Sound system quality is jamaica known for... Just putting it out there... We are a thirdworld Country but never under estimate Jamaicas greatness. 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Africa bambatta grandmaster flash and Kool herc are the pioneers... However kool herc came from jamaica to the bronx in the 1970s and introduced toasting which we now call rapping... So give jamaica its due credit and respect
@Shay Munney toasting which is talking live on a beat originally came from reggae music.. Reggae being the father and dancehall the child and rap came afterwards
@Shay Munneythe term toasting which the Americans call free style... is talking live on a beat was the first dancehall sound... Pioneer of toasting was done by the great daddy U Roy in 1961. Kool herc brought that sound to new york the bronx in the 1970s...the rest is history
@Shay Munney Go get knowledge on Jamaican music. Dancehall started with toasting and sound system from back in the 50s . DJ Kool Herc carried the same Jamaican dancehall culture to New York in the 70s and that started the birth of hip hop.
Well done, madd respect to u Swizz an Timba settn this platform and shout out to king Beenie n king Bounty for a truly awesome display#iconsalute#todaworld
Bounty and Beenie mans performance on VerZuZ is rated the best out of all, thus far. It is definitely my favourite, very impressed about the sound, streaming connectivity, vibe/energy and how funny they actually were. There expression or exhibition of dancehall/reggae music was just impeccable. This clash was entertaining as hell, a beautiful rendition of everything mixed up including Reggae/Dub, Dancehall/clash, hip-hop, R&B, African techno. This clash so deserves to be on Netflix. Swiss Beatz and Timbaland, gratitudes to you both for presenting this platform to showcase this talent to the world.
Beenie vs bounty was such a momentous moment I’m so glad I didn’t watch at 1am or I would have had an anti social behaviour order against me right now!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 would love a part 2 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
It's so great to go back through the history of the catalogues of these artists. As someone who's been listening to reggae music for like 25 years it's reminds me of all these songs we grew up on 🙂
People are so shocked about this outcome I don’t even know if some Jamaicans know how big how dance hall is in Central America. I told my cousins in Costa Rica to watch the clash. Jamaican descendants and none descendants in 🇵🇦Panama and 🇹🇭Costa Rica plays Jamaican dance hall reggae music first before other music. I’m sure they had 🇵🇷Puerto Ricans watching the clash too since Reggae-ton came straight from Jamaica and Panama🇯🇲🇵🇦✊🏾

I did feel very offended by that too. He could have found an alternative word to use. Jamaica is a developing country or focus on highlighting the positives in light of the success of the night. It did not sit well with me, sorry. Another one was Ludacris talking about Jamaica being the murder capital of the world or something to the effect. Now, whilst the crime rate is higher than any Jamaican would like it to be given the size of the island, could he not have found something positive to say in keeping with the vibe ? What was he trying to achieve making that statement ?
Third world countries are just nations that are developing. They see the island of Jamaica as third world because it’s not as industrialized as their country. But many islands and countries in the caribbean are becoming or are more developed and industrialized now.
My broddas you did not make history, we make our story, that's our thing, I am a Jamaican 🇯🇲 living here in mainland America, coming together bridging our cultures, showing love 💕 all we need to do now is to continue that love 💕, we are one family in different parts of the world 🌍, we show the world 🌎 that we can come together and change the world 🌏, big up yuhself my brodda Swiss, Tims and all of you who make this possible. One love 🇯🇲🇺🇸 to the world 🌎..
We use to go the club everytime Stone Love came thru . Every month D.J.Rory and ACT 3 on White Plains Rd back in the.days , on a Saturday was the place to be . Ahhhh nostalgia 🎶🕺🏾💃🏿🔥🕺🏾💃🏿🎶
Jamaica to the world!🇯🇲🥳😀 Bounty & Beenie/Beenie & Bounty!!!🙌🏾❤ I've always respected Swizz Beatz & Timbaland. I really didn't know the history of Swizz's background and love of reggae & Jamaica and now I respect him even more! Plus, I believe his wife "Alicia Keys" 😊 is of Jamaican descent on her dad's side. Big up Swizz!!!🤗❤👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🎊

Bounty & Beanie ~Excellent! The original home of clash Jamaicans took this to NY in 70s gave birth to those were HipHop-Rapping-etc-- It was great entertainment - Thanks Swizz
Hold the hell on okay. They were not "on the side of the road " okay. Lets just be clear. Beanie Man and Bounty Killer are living legends🔥🔥. People all over the world know of these two legends and they are always celebrated. Secondly. The real Major Laser is a reggae artist. Do ya research. Pass me di laser beam♦️
It's this love. It's this love that I'm feeling. Jamaica got the whole world in its hands. Thank u both for doing this. It is a big thing. People must not hate but appreciate. Love, all the way. Blessed Love. Jah Live.
Exactly. As a Jamaican who also listen to hiphop(prefer old school). It proves that we are quite powerful wherever we are and we can bring different music, style and culture to the world. Black culture is powerful if we only realize that coming together makes us better and stronger.
Thank you Swizz for Timbaland for a event that will be talked about for a very very log time. You're right about this could have went on much longer. BM and BK catalogs are deep and I don't know half of either one. I don't know if you've finished soaking up the impact that you 2 have done for all who watched. The world of music has been changed with the 2 of you collectively setting this up. I look forward to what's next but this can't be topped. Sorry not sorry. 🙂
The one good thing about Verzuz is that it introduces a new crowd to the originators. the 90s where a high point for black music before the industry infiltrated and sucked the life, originality, creativity and diversity in black originated genres. Now black genres are pop music cash cows.
people don't know the struggle fans had in those days when beenie and bounty was at war. those days were hard choices to only love one artiste. and it pore-raising, emotional even, to see these two giants come together on one stage and celebrate music.
This one was too high level. You have to do something about that. You cant go back to the internet battles like before. Now we want some Real live battles like Beenie and Bounty did
