@@bietnik Paul Dean didn't wrote this song. This song was written by Paul Stanley and Bruce Kulick of KISS with producer Desmond Child in 1987. It was a demo for the Crazy Nights album.
@@LyricalHeadbanger it's bizarre that this song was left off the Crazy Nights album. Lots of filler on there that could have been kicked off in favor of this song.
It's unbelievable KISS dropped this demo from their "Crazy Nights" album.......this and "Time Traveller" both didn't end up making it and both would of been KISS classics......This cover by Crazy Lixx is the best by far too date.
Absolutely stunning composition by fabulous duo Stanley / Kulick with a touch of Desmond Child. I also remember well Bonfire version but I`m missing You Guys so much that I`ll try to imagine that it`s Lixx song ;-) Honestly it sounds great and this song fits perfectly to any of Your previous albums. Hope that on Two Shots at Glory we will get any brand new songs from You ! Waiting unpatiently !
Damn, that was better than Bonfire’s version. You guys guitars and kick drum are coming through way better than other versions of this song. I always felt the KISS and Bonfire versions were a tad quiet. Thanks for fixing that with your version. Best so far of all.
Very cool song and movie! The funny thing about this is how it reminds me how 80s Glam Metal is not THAT far removed from 80s US Power Metal sometimes in how Epic and Bombastic it can be. I mean this isn't THAT different to some Crimson Glory and Queensryche.
This has to be amongst my favorite songs by you, @CrazyLixx! This, as well as XIII, have made my adult years a real banger. Never lose your edge (pun intended). 😉
I swear didnt see the video info, I Though it was a band from the 80s until at the end see was Crazy Lixx Man! You are of the greatest 80s band!, Awsome song!! Never dissapoint!
Living up to KISS' possible strongest lineup (Fighting words I know), well-fecking-done with this cover! If Merlin never casts a high quality copy of the original demo into existence then I'll die happy with the Crazy Lixx version. Great film choice too
Felicitaciones Chicos.
When I heard the title (Sword and Stone) was the next release on your Patreon site yesterday; the first thing I thought of was the legendary King Arthur and Excalibur. This is such an amazing surprise to see that you have paired this song with one of those movies. It's an excellent cover version on the song. My favorite and it is so Crazy Lixx! Love it!
It´s very unfortunate that John Boorman didn't have Crazy Lixx available in 1981 to make a promotional video of his movie: With a song and music video like this it would have been a blockbuster ! And the new album is looking awesome, by the way ! Rock ON !
I have no clue what you guys are doing with these cover songs....BUT I LOVE EVERY F'ing MINUTE OF IT! You are the second coming of Rock. I need tickets, I need more, I need Crazy Lixx in MY DAMN LIFE! God Bless you brothers. Hell, redo the WHOLE "Shocker" Soundtrack. You are the DUDES OF WRATH period.
This makes Me just want to video Myself in 80s Poison music video style, while playing this at a grocery store, and just shout... COME ON, WALMART!!!! 😂🤘 Awesome tune!!!!!!
Heard about this on FB from the band a few days ago and guessed right among the other fans and all i gotta say is i love the original and i love this one
Just over a month left until the album release I'm excited for the title track two shots at glory.. hopefully another single coming before then I'm too impatient 😂
For those of You who does not know, the movie set design where actually loosly based on a cartoon paper named "Heavy metal" Terry English did capture the visual feeling of the armours from the magazine just excellent in my humble opinion! Mad respect for all the work he did put into it in that short window of time.
