*for the current Sword Art Online VS battle system, you need to move and dodge by manual control, switch with characters, release skills, etc. It's not easy thing. actually, meanwhile the event is limited-time, you have to pass the quest by manually, and the more difficult quest it is, the more time it takes, so if you want to play it, I think the game should have automatic battle system, especially if you have already pass the quest, otherwise it will be very weary.*

mobile gaming for you. It's just something monster hunter tend to have but keep in mind that Bandai doesn't always make games but their partners so associated companies, same with SE games too

@@dale7326 I don't think it being a mobile game has anything to do with the clunkiness of the animation, look at Punishing Gray Raven, it's a mobile game and yet the combat animation could give most action games on console/PC a run for their money. All of their SAO games, even on console/ PC, always had this degree of clunkiness, the devs are simply lazy to improve the graphics and animation.

I doubt it. Genshin is made using a heavily modified Unity engine. Even if they did use it, at best they'll managed the same shading/light as Genshin and that's it. The missing underlying factor here is effort. Everything in Genshin is made with the upmost care and passion. Meanwhile Bandai clearly does not give a single crap about the game.

I downloaded the game on day 1, and I think it's a really good game. Though it certainly needs more gamemodes, it's been out for like 4 days, and I think it's a bit early to get bored of the main gameplay. It's a standard gacha rpg layout, what i call a "menu rpg": home screen with character/item upgrade options, gift box, missions, events, and story quests where the main gameplay is found. The gameplay for this one is a new spin on the distinctive SAO combat system, with emphasis on satisfying combo strings. The one GLARING issue with the game is the lack of responsiveness of the controls, especially that dodge/dash button. With the style of combat of this game, QUICK, responsive controls are very important, and I found the lack of responsiveness to ruin the flow of battle. The gacha gystem in this game includes characters and ability cards, which can be equipped to characters, with a summons system that summons the two categories together. I didn't find it to be too confusing. What i enjoy about the game is the look and feel of it. It feels very futuristic and on brand for SAO, with extremely vivid colors and a ton of information being displayed at any given time. The in-universe game is called cross edge, and the graphical style does a great job of conveying the idea of you being inside this new yet familiar game.

The dash ability doesn't give s and has input lag. The combat actually looks interesting so I just have to get used to seeing 1 second into the future.

They did say the release date btw, it was on a Twitter post. But I agree was dumb to do that but it was delayed about 2.5 weeks. Aka waste of time. I think some of this had to do with the anniversary, also the announcement from the closure of blading. Lastly I have no idea how integral factor can last 4.5 years and counting lol. But yeah bandai literally always releases games 6 on months early. Even big games like Dokkan we're like this and absolutely barren.

Clunky combat and beat everything day 2. Definitely needs work. (the event is the type you usually farm in games and get points for clearing which gives rewards, 14k points in 10 runs of medium difficulty when max rewards are at 5k). So now itll just sit there until they add a lot more stuff

I highly agree. The game feels rushed to me and it doesn't stand out in any way against other games even saoif, that qte doesn't help as well. Personally, if the game have this arena similar to rwby anime's vytal festival where the environment can change then that might be interesting for awhile. They seem to not allow emulators to run it, that's really gonna lessen their playerbase more. It does run on bluestacks sometimes but you'll still get the error eventually.

@@symphonixblades It's not, it's missing the PvP mode which the devs already said they would add and it's missing other modes and events. But the combat is good and the game can be improved. It's Integral Factor team that game have been around for years so if they can just focus on VS more, they can improve it. But if they only focus in Integral Factor well nothing will be improved for this game, which I guess is what they have been doing so far since there's no new content in VS or bug fixes since the beta.

It's Integral Factor team and that game have been around for years. I think if there's someone who can improve the game its them. This game released in an incomplete state tho, no PvP mode at launch and it still be added, they are also working on other modes, I think they should have waited until they had all that ready but it's not a bad game tho as some people are saying it is, the battles should be longer but are fun. Maybe the team was busy with Integral Factor their main game and that's why this game released in such state idk.

There's nothing to do once you run out of stamina. day 1 you get to having fully completed all the content available to where you just log in to use up stamina then log out. All after just an hour or 2 of playing. Nothing else to do outside the arena combat. Sad people have already spent money on nothing so far. just trained over the years to feel obligated to open their wallets the moment they see a payment option.

Honestly, the delay in the buttons and when bosses do like a power attack you have to tap the screen and if you're not fast enough he does the power move over and over until you can block it, which is bullshit. I don't know how people are blocking but I still have yet to figure it out, haven't seen a tutorial for blocking yet either.. not to mention for some reason this thing loads like it's from the 90's A.O.L.

I tried almost every SAO mobile game so far and none of em hit the spot "just right". I really wished this one, in line with the whole 10 year anni thing, would finally be the definitive SAO game to go. Unfortunately, the gameplay wasn't very fun at all. I only played like the first 5 or so missions so maybe this aint all there is, but its a freaking spam-fest and switch-fest.

It's Integral Factor team I think they can improve the game. The PvP mode is still being released which they should had made it already in the game when the game released and there's other modes and events coming. It have potential if the team can focus on it, instead of only focusing in Integral Factor which have been around for years

They have one sao game that's still profitable cus its the closest to sao's lore. I rather they spend budget on that game and revamp it into a full open world rather than making obvious cashgrab bait games like these. Then again, won't expect anything nice from Bandai.

Meh.. saoif is still slightly better imo in terms of gameplay. I still want a sao game that's like the chinese version (similar to genshin impact) style but I doubt Bandai would even put in effort for sao. Such a shame and ironic though cus sao does have a fanbase with their anime and light novels but the games produced ain't on par despite the whole premise about games. I can only hope some other game companies would make a decent game in the future but definitely not from Bandai

This game LAGS on my phone, like it's just so damn slow at moving everything, even at the lowest graphic setting possible, which is a downgrade for me considering I can play Punishing Gray Raven in that same device on their highest setting no problemo This game's performance and graphics makes me think that this game should've been out since 2016, not 2022, and that for me, it's a nope Edit: Also, skip tickets? In 2022? Unless it comes in droves, hell Nah Bruh skips should've been free from the get go, no tickets required

@@MCBadWolf_24 punishing gray raven is a highly optimized game bro. People can run it on medium to high settings on really old phones too. I used to play the Chinese version of the game on my LG stylus that only had 8GB of internal storage and 1GB ram and I could still play it at medium settings.

Probably won't shut down that early . It's made by Integral Factor team and director and that game is the only SAO mobile game still alive. VS is still going to receive 4 players PvP mode and other modes and events so it can still be improved. This team did good with Integral Factor so I think they can turn it around for VS. However the game does feel like it released incomplete
