Swornegacie at gate to Bory Tucholskie
Swornegacie (kaszb. Swòrnégace, Szwôrnygace, Szwôrnëgace, German. Schwornigatz. Swornegacie - a village located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Chojnice poviat, in the Chojnice commune, in the land of historical Kashubia.
If you are looking for a unique place for an active holiday, I recommend Swornegacie and the Bory Tucholskie National Park. Swornegacie is a kind of gate to Bory Tucholskie. You will find here not only safe bicycle paths, mostly separated from car traffic, but also beautiful and interesting hiking trails, such as the Kashubian Route.
Fantastic, unpolluted nature of the Bory Tucholskie National Park, charming lakes, picturesque meandering rivers, many very interesting and beautiful places to visit and a great selection of accommodation. Starting from camping sites, through cottages and lodgings, and ending with hotels. You will find all this in Swornegacie and the vicinity of the Bory Tucholskie National Park.
Swornegacie, a summer resort village (of course, the name has nothing to do with pants). The name Swornegacie comes from the combination of two words: swora (a braid made of pine twigs) and gacenia (strengthening the shores of the lake). Swornegacie is an ideal place to set up a base. From here you will be able to explore the whole area without much effort. Swornegacie is the gateway to Bory Tucholskie and southern Kashubia.
The great advantage of staying in Swornegacie is access to a very wide range of accommodation and a good shop and restaurant base. At this point, it is worth recommending the Kashubian specialty, i.e. Kashubian zalewika, a village soup on "flooded" potatoes with chopped sausage and vegetables.
Swornegacie is famous for the organization of kayaking, water sports and fishing, including trout fishing. The offer includes one-day and several-day kayaking trips. I recommend rafting on the Chocina River, from Chociński Młyn to Swornegać. You can easily rent a pedal boat and a rowing boat on site. You can also take advantage of the walking cruises on the Karsińskie and Charzykowskie lakes.
Swornegacie is also a fascinating Borowiak and Kashubian culture. In the center of the village there is the Kashubian House of Folk Handicraft, which promotes local Kashubian traditions that are fading into oblivion.
