They are always underrated when they win against a decent mu or person has little ice climbers exp. I think they are ok, but in no way even close to high tier like people suggest.
Nah, I’d say it was more of a mix of Gackt playing poorly and the mu being slightly in ICs favor. Gackt would throw out a lot of unsafe moves on shield in neutral and get pooped on
I can't stop thinking how awesome it is that the top characters in Japan vs the US and europe are sooo different! Also, Japan really seems to be unlocking ice climbers, hyped for the future
Also I've watched a bunch of Harasen's streams before this so its nice seeing that hard work pay off against one of my Smash 4 idols. Again, I love this set.
That was really good seeing this player play really well with ice climbers one of the underrated characters at a high level, and shows they can be good in the right hands. I just hope the other underrated characters get used in the right hands too to show they can be good as well and show results.
The problem with ices is all the inconsistencies, the up B not working on hit, Nana AI being stupid sometimes, Sopo being straight up trash etc... Lot of potential but not high tier potential
@@Ed_AlphA true that the character is inconsistent up b probably inconsistent too, ai do be dumb sometimes, and I'm not sure what else to add here but all I can say is just make it work by your hands.
@@nelsonhastings2884 side B can be jank if only one ices is hit, he get camped very hard, poor aerial speed and while it's becoming less and less of an option because of the hard work of ices mains, you can tech a lot of the combo options
They're not bad but they're only around mid tier. Sure they have one of the best punish games in the cast but their neutral is so abysmal it evens them out. Some match ups are considered almost unwinnable for them like the belmonts or shulk.
@@thelazerwitch8467 What do you mean abysmal neutral? They can pressure shields like no other and force predictable approaches. I will concede a couple matchups do suck but there are also a good deal of fighters who'd have a very rough time fighting them.
Gackt was playing pretty terrible here. Going in unsafely and not mixing it up much, but yeah, Harasen is really good so it would've been hard even if he knew how to play against ICs (which doesn't seem to be the case).
