Something I've noticed now that I didn't mention in the video is that from the VETERAN weekly crates, you have a chance of getting the blue decurion gear upgraded as well!!!! After revan expansion the gearing system overwhelmed me more and more. I enjoy fallen empire a lot (except the awful amount) of unnecessary mobs. This video helps a lot. Playing since beta 🎉
Thank you for video. I hope Broadword keep this system an stop changing getting gear. From 7.00 to 7,3 It was very weird how they keep changing gearing.
It used to be far worse when you had to fight over a drop in a operation cause we only got gear pieces piece meal with no option to craft the best gear as we have now. Random drops also meant that good ops teams were hard to find cause they kept pushing the difficulty up every patch to match the new level gear and things we were doing daily became a long grind of piece by piece chance rolls to get gear just to be able to be good enough to participate and be wanted in ops again…. Back when max level was 65 it was very unpleasant and many of us quit playing out of frustration of endless grind. Now yea it’s a LITTLE grind and we can build our own max level armors ourselves…. Much easier.

I miss Reverse Engineering mods. I miss having a bunch of different type of mod configurations. I miss RE gear iun general. This new bunk is not fun at all. It's just run same shit over and over to get more to trage in to get the next tiny as fuck bump increase and repeat. I've only been back for a couple weeks, and the fun ran out the minute the story was over.
You have to sacrifice it. It's the tradeoff to unlocking all the mods for your adaptive armor. Alternatively if you have done flashpoints, which have a chance to drop gear, you can wait until you get a 340 blue from there and dismantle it.

Like with the 334 Implants, once you get both implants to 340, you will unlock an achievement that drops the cost of implants (336-340) to 2500 for alts!!!!!!

So I was ready for this update, I saved my crate rewards to open then after the patch, and had saved up loads of op1s and fp1s. I now have my two main guys upgraded and working exclusively on getting legendaries up to 340. Master flashpoints ARE dropping purple Rakata gear randomly from boss fights. We got a purple 340 from second boss on red reaper. And it was an easy upgrade to 344 ear piece. Still working on getting some relics upgraded from blue prototype 340 to purple rakata and upgrade them from 340 to 344. If you get earpiece and 2 relics to 344 and have your purple upgrades for your 340 gear…. It’s just a long grind for tech frags to get your legendary implants up to 340, For max stats…. The one thing that did suck is when you upgraded the first implant we lost our discount for the previous max…. So no discount for other characters again till you get at least 1 with BOTH legendary implants to 340 now on at least 1 character. The loot boxes from ops and flashpoints also have a random chance for blue prototype 340s once you reach ranking 338 on your character, so save them up to open them at the right time to get extra gear for alternate characters. I can feel a slight boost to abilities, and makes doing master flashpoints a bit easier…. Ops are still hard on higher difficulties as always even with better gear as the mechanics are still required to be learned and mastered as well.
Hi, so even if I am at 336, I would need to buy / get a low level 326 FP gear. Then upgrade 326 -> 340 and then deconstruct that piece, which I dont even need?
Hey! If you're at blue 336 then you don't have to buy another 326. Upgrade your existing blue 336 gear to 340. Alternatively, do flashpoints for the chance to get another blue gear piece.

The best gear makes all the tasks a lot faster and easier, that's why i want them even if i don't do hardest content. I read about conversions and i feel like 200 commendations from weekly conquest is not enough to gear myself before next item tier comes out, or something..
just found your channel good vid, heard we can interact with that twilek londndar who sells relics now he can give higher rated gear but to me i cant interact with him again to get the higher lvl gear. is there something I need to do?
Hey thanks for watching! You don't need to interact with the twilek again, you need to interact with the droid next to him, and find the legendary implant you want to upgrade on the list there.
Do you have the relics you want to upgrade on you? You need to find the names and hover over them to see if the upgrade is higher, it does not show you it's going to be a higher rating on the title of the implant.
@@Kevin-oy2lr Im 336 now and the damage just isnt there, even when the match feels good I only do like 4 mill compared to people putting up 6-10. Maybe im just ass at the game.
@@ryangallegos3218 Sounds to me like you're a single target spec, and those big numbers are aoe specced. 4 million is good for single target. If you are comparing yourself to a Veng Jugg in a Voidstar, you are going to crushed in dmg everytime. Also depends on how people play. Some people don't focus as much on objectives and just play to do the most damage possible. Playstyle is also a big factor.
@@Kevin-oy2lr Yeah I'm still Ironing out my gear, I have 336 mods with 276 augments, I still need to get purple enhancements and upgrade pvp relics to 336 and legendary implants to 336 too, so im not fully geared either.
Absolutely ridiculous. People should stop grinding for gear, they're clearly copying and pasting WoW's gearing system. Absolutely pointless as they constantly raise it with each update.
Well, you're an idiot then because they keep pushing the gear limit higher and higher every update so they can call it "content" by making you grind for gearing mats and season points every second of every hour for months whilst only giving 45 minutes worth of ACTUAL story content to do, which almost all of it is entirely without voice acting now.@@bertrodgers2420

I'm playing as F2P and as long as you have unlocked max level by subscribing once in the past, it should work. Of course, you can't do the operations so you are unable to get operation gear easily.
