I was born in ‘95.. could you please try to explain the essence of what the 90’s was like? I’m always curious what life was like when people comment this on old school R&B songs.

It's just one of those things that had to be LIVED and could never be explained!!! THE GREATEST ERA ON THIS PLANET EVER! Almost everyone had FUN and almost everyone made a lot of money!!! (Bill Clinton was the President & Mayor David Dinkins was the Mayor of New York City) If you struggled it was because you wanted to. (Yup I said it) LOL

No internet ruling all culture. People tended to have more regional local trends, slang, and fashions. No camera phones, so people were living in the moment with less interruptions. You could also make mistakes in life without someone filming you for clout. Music was focused on being original and not biting. Hitting up the record store to cop a cassette or CD, calling into the radio station to request a song play from a house phone or car phone (if you were ballin) was a thing. Overall it was slower paced than today's highpaced move on to the next thing / instant gratification culture. I really miss being a teen in the 90s.

And there it is...someone with the dreaded...so underrated comment. You know nothing about music at all. This group won numerous awards and gets major credit for the women revolution in music for R&B / Hip Hop in the 90's. Now call that underrated.

You had the 90s R&B teens making super hits that were ahead of their time and last forever and give adults major competition on billboard charts. kids today dont know how good we had it back then.
