Its 2021 and people are STILL asking for a Sybreed comeback. I have never seen such dedication in fans (myself included) for a bands music except perhaps for Bolt Thrower.
@@Trashmastah666 Sadly, After Andy passed, its doubtful there will ever be another Bolt Thrower release. Check out Memorium (Karl's new-ish band) or a band called Extermination Order.
I said it and I say it again. Sybreed is the most addicting metal band I have ever heard. I have to listen to it everyday. I am 39 years old from Dominican Republic and have been a metalhead since I was 9. All four albums are a magic trip to the deepest feelings of superb being and gives meaning to my life. Drop, i still don't dig you playing bass in Samael, I understand that you need the work I guess but, I just wanted you to know that what you did with Ben and all the other guys, will always be trascendent of a world beyond metal in planet earth. What you created is not just magical, beautiful and heartwarming, but also therapeutical for the soul...If I have to wait 10, 15, 20 years for your comeback, I asked God just to be alive to listen to one more album....Sincerely Tommy G from the Caribbean
I just stumbled across Sybreed on youtube and I'm straight up fucking addicted now. This guys guitar riffs are goddamn amazing! This one in particular, I
With you on that for sure. Been listening to this band since right around the time The Pulse Of Awakening came out and damn, I have yet to hear anything that comes close. These guys made some of the most perfect music. I hope one day I'll be able to hear just one more album, and see them live.
i remember when i listened to Antares for the first time, my mind was blown away holy shit, brutal riffs and drumming with beast vocal, and some atmospheric futuristic-space feels
I'd love to do the same but it's crazy how all I could find these days was a super pricey japanese edition of slave design. I mean, Geneva is a 1h30 drive from where I live, they're almost a local band to me and the only way I could have a CD is paying 50€ for a Japan imported album...
Sybreed is the best band i ever heard in my life. Every song is amazing the lyrics and the instrumental are amazing. Why always the best things end so fast.
Drop's approach to the guitar is awesome. Dynamic and powerful. I like this way more than all the djent styles out there! Sybreed was unique and fucking Legendary!
I wanted to cover this song. I tried. Then I realized that this rythm was really really complex so I needed lot more work. This guy really has God's right hand.
My dad used to play a lot of metal when we were in the car and he used to let me pick the CD. In 2005 my uncle gave my dad a slave design CD that was ripped from some website and I used to make my dad play it everytime for at least 6 or 7 years until I got an ipod and sybreed was immediately the first thing I searched for. Hearing another sybreed album which was antares I have been obsessed ever since. The drums, bass synth, lyrics were so raw. My sophmore year of highschool I even did a music analysis of god is an automaton for music class. Having sybreed broken up and never getting more music is like grieving over a dead friend lot of memories :(
even if it's a lot on one string and 0-0-0-0-0-0-0 it's the rhythm and accentuation that makes this interesting and great, the technical focus is on something different than in genres like melodic rock or some metal with solos. a piano has 88 keys nowadays, nobody uses them in one song (ok more than 1 but 1/6 = 15/88 :P) except for very artful composers using twelve-tone technique maybe. if you really love music, you should be open for anything that is not driven by economy but by artists, no matter what.
You couldn't have said it better... I'd like to see the one string poster respond to this song with him playing it. This to me is what made Sybreed. A very unique sound and a very unique style. I loved every single track. I still listen to them more than any other band even after the breakup. Hord is also my #2 band which is also comprised of some really good guitarists. This is real music.
Thank you so much for all the good memories you guys bring up with your music, I’m a big fan since your first album came out in 2004 and followed you guys through Antares, Pulse of Awakening and God is an Automaton, even though Sybreed does not longer exists it will always remain my favorite metal band, thanks.
Nunca había tenido tanta admiración por una banda en el mundo como la que les tengo a ustedes Sybreed! espero volver a verlos juntos, de verdad es una pena no tenerlos juntos rockeando!!
I can’t believe this perfect sound was achieved on a 6-string alone. Unbelievable contribution to metal, and one that I’m glad to have in my iTunes library. This track instrumentalism alone had me shook to me core, and I’ve been listening to it everyday.🤘
Awesome playing Drop. Gonna miss you guys. I wanted to see Sybreed before i died (not because I'm dying now) but because Sybreed doesn't exist anymore. Thanks for the legacy! You guys rocked !
I'm enjoying your music since I was 17, so, for about 9y now, but I never went to check your videos. Now I did, and what I see - underated. Big time. Don't really understand why you don't have more thumbs up and those things, cause man, you guys were a real quality.
it’s 2022 and I still listen to Sybreed. True story: I met Drop on an IRC chat YEARS ago when they were still called Rain and he gave me 2 new songs of would be called Sybreed eventually
Badass video. I love this band, I'm 29 and have been a metal head since I was at last 7, and this band is for sure one of my all time favorites. Trying to learn "No Wisdom Brings Solace" on guitar right now. Drop seems like a really cool guy, making goofy faces and shit haha. Come to America!
@@xertiasstrat8957 Depends on your definition of beautiful. I find Gojira songs also very beautiful. And I meant the enjoyment I get from watching the playthrough.
