Sydney CBD is beautiful. Although I must say unlike other world cities it seems like no body truly belongs there. Or is Really a local at heart. It kind of looks like people are always temporary and are just passing through. Very strange vibe.
You are not wrong. The city is a job hub and nothing else. On the weekends it's just for tourist. True sydney Australians prefer to spend their time away from where they work.
