Thank you, Wonder World, for this amazing feature! We're happy our stories of the past made it to your channel. And lovely storytelling from you. And to anyone who's interested in watching the full animations of each bridge design, you can watch it here: bit.ly/3DSeriesOfTheBridge Thanks to everyone's good words about us and our animations. We appreciate it so much.
yes the 3 way bridge is a very unique design, not sure you could run trains on that bridge, and you would have to put a round about in the middle, which would slow down traffic, but it looked amazing.
Agree. But it would have had to either be MUCH larger. I read somewhere it was design to have elevators inside to raise and lower the paths. I can't imagine how that would... work But it's by far my favourite looking one
As a Sydneysider, I love our Coathanger. I'm glad we have this design. Had it not come to pass, the triple arch bridge would have been my favourite. Classic beauty. Runner up would be the three way bridge which is an amazing concept but I doubt it would have kept up with the later traffic volumes, necessitating another bridge be built. Kudos to the animation studio.

Wonderful animation...I think my favorites (besides the actual/existing bridge) are Norman Selfe's Triple Arch design as well as the Stowe three part bridge. Thanks WW for sharing!!
Really interesting! Thanks for sharing, I am glad they went with the design they did! Gotta love the ol’ coat hanger! 😎👍 PS the animations are great! 👍
yes I agree, a lot of work went into that, I almost did not want to put "real footage" of the bridge near the end, I did not want to subtract from their efforts. But I wanted to show people who do not live in Australia what the bridge actually looks like.
I wonder how long these structures can stay up till they eventually have to be replaced. What is the time structure of a bridge 100 year's 150 year's ?
Thankfully we didn't end up with an ugly cantilever bridge like that ugly one north of OUR border. Been over Tower Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge, Lions Gate Bridge etc - SHB is still the widest, majestic and best placed bridge.
