Syd will break 50, I'm sure. When? Maybe not this year. I think she could take down the 400 WR as well... If she wants to. I think she is that good. Femke? Great athlete. Good to have her chomping at the heals of Syd to push her to go faster. But I doubt she will beat Syd. But she may surprise on the day.

While it sounds awesome, only with PEDs will Sydney break 50. I think that Sydney is about as clean as any current runner, given her current gap and the gap that sub-50 represents, I just think it is too large to be clean. Sub-50 at this time would represent a 1.3% improvement and a 2.9% gap over her nearest competitor. For comparison, Warholm's WR improvement was 1.65%, but only 0.5% over his nearest competitor (Rai Benjamin).
