What they really need are better quality shells that are longer lasting, burst with more uniformity and intensity, that produce less smoke. These are just a little thin and sloppy. Plus, they need to work on a cleaner presentation like they did in the past. They got it right in the 2000’s to early 2010’s, but somehow there’s less attention to detail in more recent displays. Good choreography, but quality over quantity man.
I so agree with you. They dont have alot of intesity and need more of a bang than a small boom. The shell flop when their is high wind conditions that also contribute to this squiggliness of the shells, i am sure there are height a largness restrictions on the shells but i want them to be bigger and launch more neatly.I think the need to bring back the 4 big barges and little ones in the middle to make it look nice and have more different ways of launching like fireworks curving into the middle. Also Foti Fireworks have gone carbon neutral so that mean they cant really be producing new mortars to fire the fireworks which means they have to reuse it making the new fireworks that wil be launched implode in the mortar, not fire at all or fire after the squence should have gone or fire in weird directions. I was there this new years and the 9pm smoke blew into the opera house making it unpleasent and hard to see the fireworks, Foti needs to really rethink the shells and firing mechanisms and carbon neutral gurantee because fireworks are appose to make co2 idk why you would go carbon neutral that wont provide good standtard of fireworks its a compromise
Yep, the earlier displays were much more theatrical, with better quality shells, the classic 'bridge effect' and great themes like 'Heart of the Harbour', 'A Diamond Night in Emerald City', Awaken the Spirit' etc. The themes have become very generic since 2015. I consider 1999 - 2014 the golden age of Sydney NYE.
Yes, the truth is that the projectiles should be perfected, we hope to see more explosion in the new year 2024, it is nice to see but the smoke thing affects a lot in the calling country at 9pm, the truth is that it is noticeable that the propilsion is spent in the boats because when the bomb was fired it made a sound neither more nor less than an explosion on the ground and that made it difficult to get out and the effectiveness of the shot. The truth is that the waterfalls are much better than before because I don't know if you remember New Year's Eve 2019 where the waterfall chow actually failed because the plan was for them to come out along the bridge road but the projectiles failed. It would be good if the fans came out more coordinated because in the almost final part of the bridge the Fans come out, one in the direction of one thing and another to the other side and it's not good, with the boats I would like them to be all launched the same as in 2018 because I know that shape gives more uniformity to the show but what if? They should be more aligned for a better view from one end of the river to the other, yes I know that the river is not completely uniform but making a little effort for that detail would be good
I’m a pyro and I’m from the uk as well but Sydney dose have better fireworks they use and a lot more than London budget London definitely wins for pyro musical but Sydney is a lot more fireworks and effects and bigger
I agree. London provided a better firework display. This is the case because there were some moments where the fireworks sync on time well with the music. Other than that, London adds different songs to its New Year firework displays in order for them to be fun and interesting.
