The couple with the girl in the orange should have won in my opinion. I think they were the smoothest..but whatevs. I don't know what the judges were looking for lol.
I thought the couple with the blonde and the orange dress should have won 1st place and the couple that did win 1st place should have won 2nd. then the couple that won 2nd should have won 3rd. just my opinion though. I thought the blonde in the orange dress and the brunette in the white and grey dress were the best female dancers by far.

No Way....couple in Orange took it. Better turn patterns, better shines, and good spinning, plus that extra touch with the stunt. Lady dancer in couple that took first place was best female dancer out of group. But oh well. Good dancing!
So strange to read so many comments about my butt! It makes me laugh! Happy to have genetics on my side :) and fyi: no, it wasn't the best social dance- at least by me, all the couples are "aussie" whatever that means these days as we are a very multicultural country, only 2 of the boys have a Latin background. Oh yeah, and my dance partner is not my boyfriend hahaha - we Aussie girls dance with everyone! +Ricardo Hurtado myth for sure! The Europeans kill it! But it depends on your definition of good. Following a Latino can be hard work, especially for the arm joints. But, always memorable!
How I wish I could dance that way!!! Amazing!!! It was absolutely amazing!!! Social dance is way the funniest salsa style available... The best moves did the coral couple, they are the most harmonious and has best stylistics, moves are so bright very nice partner, caring and creative. Also liked black pair, she is very bright and I didnt remember her partner. But their moves are nice. Purle Marianna is good but she is shy to dance with this partner and her bottom better than her top. But she charmed all boys in comments with her butt) White-black couple was too abrupt and sharp in moves so I couldnot see what exactly they were dancing about. The firslt place, are you kidding me? This is not salsa. This is spinning and turns, etc of salsa. Real salsa has lot more feeling, lot more passion. The couple interaction here is based on following steps, not on listening to the song and see how it fits the best. I'm latin and I am surprised how good you guys are but there's something missing , try going to south America and check it for yourself. No intention of being rude sorry anyway.

Many people wrote here about 3-rd place couple should be the first. I disagree. Actually, they are not the best. They dance like a pro dancers, but their dance consists from: hundreds similar rotations (rotations are good, but it is only rotations); linear changing position and the main worst thing - they did not show the music accents. They are boring (for my taste). 1st place is sexual, 2nd is playful. This couples are really dancing the music (not the figures), show the accents, changing the dance schemas if the music are changing. I like 2nd place couple. Their playfulness are awesome.
Actually they are. Salsa is danced in different ways and people may like different styles. If you mention the music accents, they are mostly displayed by the man's footwork: huge difference between 1st and 3rd.
Wrong Judging! Third or second should have won! Those who won the competition should have been just the third. Outer appearance is not all that matters :(
Horrible judging. The winners weren´t dancing salsa, they were just dancing. The third place couple were the only ones REALLY dancing salsa. Cmmon, judges can´t count? LOOK AT THEIR FEET!!!
I totally disagree with their judging. I liked who they gave 1st to the least, that couple was super sexual with it all. I think they should have been 4th, the couple in all black should have been 3rd, the couple in 4th should have been 2nd and the couple in 3rd should have won. BUT, my opinion isn't professional.

No es la salsa que estamos acostumbrados los cubanos, pero me gustó, respetan el ritmo.....Asi que felictaciones....cada pais tiene su estilo, a mi aparte del cubano , me gusta el estilo de los colombianos, son extraordinarias todas las piruetas que hacen y la velocidad de los pies....Los disfruto mucho....la danza es bella, siempre y cuando se baile con sabor....
The couple that won 1st place did not deserve it (my opinion). The guy Sam was not so good at all. I thought that the black-orange couple was the best.
I am probably the only mexican here in Dallas that likes carribbean music. Hopefully I move back to LA or if not PR or Florida. I would love to dance like this.
Ah Friedrich so who did you think were the best ? What were your criteria ? I'd suggest if you aren't spinning or using your hips when at a dance competition,... what are you doing ? As a former national ballroom and latin 12 dance champion I suggest spinning as opposed to not spinning would indicate better technical ability whilst using your hips would suggest you had more experience and style - as a basic suggestion only. Although in salsa, the guys should avoid too much hip, it's not masculine enough.
