Something weird is that the crossing alarm (pedestrian crossing) has a different sound then the one seen in the video, all I can say is that this old one sounds A LOT better then the newer one

I believe the plan to get rid of the crossing was scrapped. As of 2021, the crossing is still there.

2:51 if you listen carefully you can hear the other alarm going off but dont listen for too long or you’ll get your eardrums blown off at 3:00

I remember when there was a little house near the crossing, a woman would come out and shut the gates. my memory is she was quite a big girl and was often wearing a loose fitting flowery dress, I remember also a big brick building where deep water Plaza is now. Also the landing strip beside trafalger ? avenue . these are treasured memories for me..

God that level crossing sounds old no wonder it's probably gonna get taken down

I don't know why it's in my recommendations.. but some interesting memories. It was September 2011, and I was in one of then brand new Waratah trains that hit a car at this level crossing.

I think the reason they are getting rid of the crossing is because you can hear that the level crossing's alarm sounds like it's losing the will to live
