How cool would it be if they did the tunnel right to Bondi beach , saves jumping on a bus second trip , yeah I know all about the cash , fantastic video Phil make me want get over there 👍👍
Lovely combinations of Oscars and Tangaras! I would say my favourite motor out of all the train in Sydney would be the Oscars: Mitsubishi IGBT, but the chopper from Tangaras just seconds it!
as expected frantic pace having trains coming from Edgecliff constantly filling the platform. Quick turnaround for each arrivals except at least one of those went into the storage tunnel for a quick smoke. Do they swap the drivers so that the train just arrived would be manned by another driver from the other end and give the driver a 5-10 minutes break?
If the train doesn't go into a storage tunnel I am pretty sure they normally get a second driver to drive it back down the line (the driver doesn't change ends they just get out). However I think there is normally enough time allocated when they are in the storage tunnel for the same driver to change ends, in which case they wouldn't get a break. Driver's don't normally get breaks even during layovers at less busy terminuses. They work fairly constantly until they get relieved in which case they would have more than 30 minutes (probably more like an hour) break. The reasons for this is that terminuses layovers can vary and get messy when trains arrive up late so any break that is supposed to happen during them would often get cut.
