Many of us choose something to study in order to make a good living, not because you're so passionate about it. I have recently graduated and I hate that people expect you to be oh so passionate about your profession. I studied tax law and I find it interesting enough to have gone through 5 years of university, but i'm not "passionate" about it. I chose to study it because I was told there's a lot of demand for tax experts and because the salaries are pretty good. Not all of us even have a thing they're truly passionate about.

@@murderpoet There is large gap between working as a doctor and working a job you are happy with that pays enough. The way I took what he said was that as long as a job pays you good money your happiness working that job is secondary. As someone who lives in Europe that is not the culture I grew up with. Yes everyone needs a job to get by and pay the bills, but your happiness at your job is as important as the pay if not more so. Some of the most successful jobs also come with high depression and suicide for a reason. Money isn't everything

He has a realistic viewpoint on life. I get so tired of people saying, "Follow your passion," or "Do what you love," like it's that easy. It might be easy for people who were born into a rich family or something lol, but realistically speaking, it's hard to do what you love without sacrificing things. I think he's spreading a great, straight-forward message, but of course, everyone's different.
Everything sykkuno said in the first part touched my heart very much and this is true because I chose the university major that believes in earning an income for me on the major that I love. Sometimes we have to face the harsh reality and give up on our dreams , it was very tough to me to choose and gave up about my dream , but at least I can help my parents in tough times .

I feel like the people who say to pick a job they like and not something that pays well are well enough in life to not understand picking something to have a better life than the one they have.

I’d love to share some wisdom with y’all about the money question, you will always be able to find money. Focus on what you are happy with. My grandpa always told me don’t sweat the little things like money.
