@@therealwellin5846 ye I been a fan of yugioh for years and the same with them. So this is a rare moment for me though just hope they don't get platinum in rank since they will meet good duelists with top tier decks.
Leslie lost 5 blue eyes by attacking a face up card when she could have attacked the other face up and won. Vale didn't even set it face down. It was so obvious what was going to happen. 🤣🤣🤣
@@huntu3970 that line gas been repeated too many times that it has lost all nuance. That's only true if your deck has some sort of comeback mechanic and you're in a situation to actually pull it off
I encourage everyone to watch any VOD of this. It was literally an anime. Ludwig choosing a deck last minute so it was lacking any way for him to win. Leslie spawning Blue Eyes more than Kaiba. Toast never playing before but being OP. Lily with Ludwig's grandma acting. Sykkuno dominating the whole time. Charlie being Pegasus honestly. Blau with his commentary.
Vale is underrated. I'm glad he was able to connect up with Lud and get a fill in spot in some of these tournaments. He works pretty well with the group.
This was absolutely amazing to watch live. Chat was losing their minds with hype and lols. RP was on point and the lols and plot twist just kept coming. 🤣
That's what's funny about Leslie's deck, half her deck was random normal monsters that brick the hell out her deck, the other half was completely random blue-eyes cards, like some 2022 support, some 2016 support, and the rest of it was like from 2004, lol. She either pops off like this or bricks like she did against Toast for 10 turns.
@@d.a.f. Gigantes (the monster that Leslie kills last) which when destroyed by battle, it destroys all spell and trap cards on the field which destroys true light. When true light is sent to the graveyard, all your monsters are destroyed. It's funny to think that had Leslie attacked yellow gadget instead and then used another blue eyes to attack gigantes, I'm pretty sure she would have won that turn.
coming from someone who recently stopped playing the game comp, this stream was straight gold. All they need now is to include Rhymstyle and Seereax lmao
hey listen, when i saw fuslie's and syk's first yugioh battle 2 weeks ago i went back and played it, and then this tournament came and was streamed, i opened up the game and played a normal match and for some reason 5/5 matches where all dragon types, wtf, dragon hype....
So her own card true light destroys all her monsters when it's destroyed, so when she attacked gigantes and destroyed it gigantes triggered and blew up true light.
I play a blue eyes deck. The trap card "True Light" she uses to summon has an effect of all monsters of her control is destroyed if the the trap card is removed from the spell/trap card zone
Because giantess kills every backrow cards once it's destroyed and sent to gy And because true light (the continuous trap card)that was active got destroyed by gigantes effect, true light downside effect activate which is a personal raigeki to your own field
So Vale has a monster on the field with 1900 attack and one monster on the field with 1200 attack and she attacks the monster with the higher attack dealing less damage than if she had attacked the other monster. Leslie's logic baffles me.
Anybody want to tell me what the heck to do when somebody plays maiden with the eyes of blue? New to the game and literally don’t know what to do when it’s llayed
Maiden is hard once per turn "You can only use 1 "Maiden with Eyes of Blue" effect per turn, and only once that turn." So just swing 2 monster into it or just use generic removal like dark hole cause the card doesn't protect itself from destruction/ banish effects
Bro I swear I thought Leslie was battling MatPat for a chill minute then I realized it was Vale and there's no chance MatPat would join a tourna unprepared. Vale really sounds like MatPat!
What are they playing on? is this official Yu-gi-oh? Also - what are the gameplay differences between Yugioh and Hearthstone or MtG? Apologies the games are quite hard to follow. ty
I get not reading the cards with lots of text. But wtf is up with not reading cards with very little text? I saw that Gigantes and knew what was going to happen, but then when she started killing the rats I was like whew she knows not to kill Gigantes. But dayum she went for it instead of yellow gadget xD wtf.
If you have even remotely watched any leslie clips/streams, then you know she's always all over the place, so this is kind of normal for her and it makes me laugh every time lmao
@@SlashMayhem I'd be surprised if she even read her own deck. I wouldn't be surprised if she got the deck, immediately jumped into a duel, then learned the deck while playing duels, taking a year and a half during turns to read the new cards.
@@asianotakuguy I recommend watching the full stream, it was really good.. You're kinda right but so did everyone else. They were given packs created by Ludwigs mods that they had to choose in the beginning of the stream. They then only had a limited amount of time to familiarize themselves with their decks. This was the first match of the tournament, so neither players were able to read/memorize their full decks. She did practice with a similar deck before though.
@@mr.z647 Ah, no no I'm sure it is fun it's just that I do know a good bit about yugioh and people not reading the cards or thinking smth is op when it really isn't at all gets me a bit heated. It's just a personal issue and I'm glad people are having fun with Yugioh
Blau comes off as really annoying all the time. His take on League being better than DOTA was so dumb. Instead of making good points; he sounded like a fanboy with no information on the other side.
Leslie had a card that allows her to summon strong cards but if its destroyed all her monsters go to. Vale had a Card that if destoryed would destroy the card that allowed her to summon them meamig all of her monsters would go to. Ulinstead of attacking the card that would win her the game she attacked the one card that would clear her whole side. Pretty much Leslie not reading killed all her cards
