@@NirakarRathShe has no magic and the animation makes her hand literally phases through the guard. Yes, my head canon is that she opened and closed her hand so fast we couldn’t see it, but it could’ve been animated more realistically.

I still watched this anime despite the appearance of the protagonist, and it was one of the best anime I've watched this Season. No regrets. It's a 8/10 for me. Very recommended. The character developments are not lame. MC just wants to learn more magic and spells to get stronger, and it was satisfying to watch the fight scenes. Al inicio pense que la espada pasaba entre su mano y me pregunte por que no le corto los dedos?,ahora despues de ponerlo en camara lenta veo que la espada pasa delante de su mano y luego ella lo sostiene del mango con un rapido movimiento dando mas logica a la animacion,sorprendiendome el atento dibujo de los animadores en esa parte
