I came here from your freeCodeCamp tutorial on symfony 4 which I enjoyed. This is very hard to follow up as newbie, you don't explain a lot, and your pace it's fast. Anyway I hope you will make more videos like that symf 4 tutorial :)
Can we do the same chat for an app wich is using symfony as front and backend ? I would like add this app in my symfony project to replace my voicemail on the mysite/message address
I have tried to reproduce this project but I couldn't do it. My PHP CLI is 8.1.17 and the Symfony CLI version is 5.5.2. MySQL is not the problem (yet). When I run my project by executing symfony server:start, this message appears: [Application] Apr 24 13:58:49 |DEBUG | SECURI Access denied, the user is not fully authenticated; redirecting to authentication entry point. It doesn't appear any login page, the Symfony app is not running.
i am using symfony 5.4 and i got this error "There is no column with name 'created_at' on table 'message'." I wonder if I need to add a problem to my message table?

That is related to the user permissions inside virtual machine, try running using the same code using sudo and if the error goes away that means that the it's the user permissions issues and you should fix them using another way instead if sudo, otherwise it's a completely different error and I'm right here to help.yiu debug this further more
it seems like it's a error of Virtual machine when I create/install anything in the shared folder. I move it somewhere then composer install and there are no errors at all

github.com/konshensx16/mercure-chat-tutorial/blob/master/src/Controller/ConversationController.php#L50 This index functioon is where we create a new conversation with another user, (sorry for naming it index), you just have to send the id of the other user as a parameter in a POST request, the key inside the POST requests containing the other user id should be named 'otherUser', if you need further help or if you feel clueless on how to do this please let me know and i might be able to help you.
@@JJDevelopment I managed to get remote debugging working. I had problems because I have several php versions installed and was not sure if symfony 5 can be debugged at all cause all articles online refer to older versions and that way does not seem work anymore (that article refers to server:run that does not exist anymore). Thanks anyway.
it's not necessary to use $this->security->getUser() in a controller, u can use the shortcut $this->getUser(). u can see it in the doc symfony.com/doc/current/security.html 5a).
thanks for video but I think you are moving so fast that must of us can't fallow and understand. I thank you are just developing for yourself not for teaching.
