Just the transition from the music being loud and full of instruments with him yelling “COME BACK HOME” to music stoping, him whispering “just come home..” and the piano going high-pitched and soft with barely any instruments playing gets me every time. It’s so beautiful and sad at the same time. It is a very wonderful song.
Honestly the transition makes me think that when hes yelling, hes trying to make himself seem hurt, but keep a strong 'masculine' appearance. Then in a brief moment in between him and his love, he shows his true sadness and anguish with losing her.
I remember waking up one day at my best friends apartment, the doors and windows were all open and it was raining lightly outside, light breeze; it was nice. I got up and walked to the kitchen and saw her sitting at the table painting, listening to music with her earplugs. She turned to me and smiled and said “I found the perfect song for rainy days” and told me the name of this song. She lives in Europe now and I miss her so much. This song reminds me of that morning every time.

I feel like this song seems more like romantic love but so many lines make me think of my dad like, "Does she know that we bleed the same? Don't wanna cry but I break that way." "If you bled I'll bleed the same. If you're scared I'm on my way." He loves his daughters and would drop everything for us. He is happiest when we're around and we're lucky for it! It makes me misty-eyed every time I listen to it.

This is the second song I have ever heard of SYML (“The War” being the first). I first heard this song years ago, but then I forgot about it for a while. Then, while I was looking for songs to add to a playlist on my Spotify account the other day, I clicked on my “Liked Songs” playlist and I found this song there. Normally I expect that playlist to be empty because I don’t really ever heart songs on Spotify, but I guess I had liked this song before forgetting about it. And I’m honestly so grateful that I did like it so I could find it again however many years later. Definitely will be checking out more pf SYML’s songs now, heh.
I personally listen to a lot of K-pop, but when I’m not, this genre is my favorite. ❤🥰 And I love this song a lot because it connects me to the artist as a listener with beautiful and sentimental lyrics. ❤

This song is very special to me, in a way which makes me unable to listen to it without crying. I know the song is about "home", but it reminds me of all my favorite places, cities where I made friends and the best memories. Germany, Switzerland, Italy. I want to go back but I know the feeling will never be the same. I long for something that no longer exists. I can travel again but not unless its with my people. I miss them and I miss those places.
