Jesus, she needs to be faster, not slower. Who cares if she can skip chokes, isn't that what they designed the damn thing for? 3 second cast time, 1.5 seconds between uses, 15 damn second cooldown. Funny thing is they haven't even allowed tp back in spawn despite fixing the bug they disabled it for in the first place with a dot.
If only they could have been in touch with any symmetra player youtuber like stevo or hoshizora, so they would know how symmetra as a dps work. In blizzard they don't care about those niche heroes and don't really know how they work
This will make her better for teamplays yes but this change will make her much worse in combat (less opportunities to tp in back line / turret bombs) She is a dps though so she needs to do damage but honestly this change will make her feel more like a support ( Tele and ult is definitely support) Especially when 2-2-2 comes around she will be even less viable as a dps
Tbh she deserves -50 more health or her photon shield back cus she has no defence - teleporter needs to be up faster - no changes to teleporter cooldown. I dont get why they cant just give her a decent buff dont they know shes one of the least picked heros?? (Also maybe her lock on beam back)
Turret bomb wasn't nerfed, it was deleted. Using the tp just for it to get destroyed in 1-2 seconds is not viable with that cd. The 1.5 seconds delay to use the tp is also super bad, symm will just get killed in that time. 15 sec cd for a bad mobility ability, nice. Honestly, I don't know how or where would Symmetra be viable now :(
15 seconds? Thats horrendous! Also destruction after reaching a specific distance, is so that it doesnt function like the old tp, if it was placed on the payload i guess, also did someone say brigitte changes?
Her Teleporter is buffed for team play. They basically want you to put it down for your team to have an escape or a constant access to high ground. It’s nerfed in skirmish because you can’t tele bomb or use it offensively very well.
In my honest opinion I hate 2-2-2 comp I feel like you cannot be the extra support or tank in case one of them fell short or being haressed by ninni genji.
Feels like they’re trying to make it even more team oriented by having it infinite. The majority of the time I used tp before or during team fights and for tp bomb. The Cooldown feels horrible
I hate this change so much, it's not even a buff in my oppinion. The only way that she was used proffesionally was with Bastion Orisa bunker only because of her tp. The "old" tp was almost perfectly timed in between Orisa barriers but now it will require you to stay 1 Orisa barrier cycle longer and the previous 12s was alredy barley viable. Now is her cd not only increased straigh up by the change in cd to 15s but is also influenced by the fact that you have to hold it untill all of your allies go through it and only then the cd will start. Of course it will have new uses now but how viable will they actually be over her previous uses if even viable at all. In low rank comp it will probably just turn into a cut in in time in return to the fight (somewhat pre rework tp) and in higher ranks it will suffer just like in pro play. In my oppinion the change could have been better executed. The cd didn't have to go up to 15s (12s would have been fine or even 10s since you have to hold it for longer), the cd could have just as well started at set up of the tp but the placement of another would have been blocked untill a the currently existing tp was destroyed, the time between uses did not have to be changed at all (it was alredy fairly long but balanced in my oppinion), the 40m + automatic break of tp was also not needed since there is only 1 instance where it would have mattered (Volskaya floating platform) wich is alredy a highley visable spot, possible abuse of bugs should not be a factor in this matter but they could have just as well got around that by increasing the limit to a higher number that would not affect gameplay but only target buggs.
honestly feels more like a nerf than an actual buff, this is going to make turret bombs more difficult but i mean i guess we’ll have to work with it somehow
I've wanted infinite TP since rework, but now that I got it I'm not sure how I feel. It has changed TP to a high ground elevator for teammates, and now TP bombs take 3 secs longer.
So blizzard removes most of Brigitte tank and emphasis she’s a support that flankers can counter easy like before because hybrid heroes don’t work well in 222 yet they still keep Symmetra as a hybrid of offence defence and support and then make her even slower? Wow they really hate her
Yeah they either needed to go back towards Sym 2.0 and go all out on defensive abilities or amp up Sym 3.0 and go all out on Offenses. Right now she's a goofy mix of both where she doesn't do well at either.
Really the only good change is the range increase. The infinite tele is great but that damn colldown starting as the teleis broken is godawful. She is a dps character. Dps are supposed t o have low cooldown movement abilities. It shoupd be 10 seconds for cooldown I think. Plus yeah tue deploy time and the use the needs to be lowered. Takes too long for anything to be helpful.
Even if we take her into consideration as as support (wich is the only way that the pros play her) this change will make her worse (and she allredy has a zero point something precent pick rate) since you will have to wait 1 barrier cycle longer and be sure when you are placing tp that all of your allies are close to you so you can start the cd as early as possible to progress further.
It needs to take into account how long the TP has been up. If it's broken as soon as it gets thrown out, it should have 14-15 seconds on cooldown but if it's thrown out and totally ignored for longer than the cooldown, it should be free when you break it.
I was thinking of letting it sit from the outside of the spawn to its maximum range near the point. This way, killed teammates can go back to the fight faster. The only thing that’s making me stop trying this is how there’s only one game mode available haha.
guys think about this you can put teleporter from spawn and put it on the payload and then get on payload faster till he destroy soo i can say its kinda buff
Ok what is the increase the range from -30 to 35m on tele. - cooldown starts uppon deployments Increase the primary fire range from 12 to 15. Would this balance out the nerf?
These changes look great. The only thing I don't like is the cooldown. Although I definitely think theyll lower it or revert it completely. Holy hell the cooldown is awful. Her biggest problem pre rework was that she was to slow. So why revert that?? Secondly, why make a character slower in a game all about fast pace action like??? thirdly, they went on and said it made symmetra feel "oppressive" God forbid a character feel oppressive cough cough widowmaker cough hanzo cough tracer cough everyone in the fucking roster.
Not a buff. This hurts her a LOT. Jesus when will they stop messing up Symmetra she's still a flawed hero she needs to be made viable and versatile on all maps / modes and honestly I'm beginning to think they'll never succeed in doing this with her as a DPS.
