My Friend the Chocolate Cake brought me to tears (especially "I've got a plan"). Your score for "the Man who Sued God" absolutely confirmed in my mind that I wanted my music to accompany film. David (and Paul) performed an intimately stripped back live version of this at Smith's Bookshop Canberra on the day of the Referendum (14 Oct). While the ACT was the only jurisdiction to vote "yes", his preamble correctly foreshadowed how the 'aspirational middle class" were likely to vote. I'll be keeping my eye out for Sympathetic Martin to "save the day"... Hannah "doing the best she can" in my slice of the modern life.

Ah David, what insightful words. It's been too long between albums mate. I only have fading memories of MFTCC playing in Brisbane and your early solo gigs - when will you ever get to NZ to play?
