Indeed, each symphony feels like it has it's own identity.

seems like the own Myaskovsky resignation to the destiny in this deeply pessimistic work

I admit this work sounds darker than most of his symphonies, a feature that makes it somehow more interesting than the other 'traditional' compositions

Although it is nearly impossible for Myaskovsky to have heard the Bartok before composing the 10th.
