I don't think I like how the scout and horsearcher works. Something is missing... I mean like a european medieval army didn't use horsebows. Mongols used horsebows. Do I really need to be able to run away if i'm using range 2 archers? Not really. So what's their niche? It would make more sense to have them specialized in a "faction alignment" tree; if you army is mongol themed they get access to these units. I get that they have differences, and it's actually VERY GOOD that you thought through those differences. But my ARMY doesn't need both tactics; either longbowmen OR horsearchers plug into the "ranged" hole for my faction. As for the scout... I mean WHY is it an anticavalry unit? There's no rhyme or reason for that; scouts were not used as anti-cav in any European battlefield I'm aware of. You don't need two types of cavalry. You would have done better with just knights as "the cavalry thing" but then a different faction might have access to a lighter cavalry with more movement but less armor. And don't call them scouts. Call them light infantry. Scouts, by definition, would be very few in number relative to the army and would be used for vision and navigation. They wouldn't be on the battlefield, or if those individuals pulled double duty they changed into heavy armor on before the battle.
