no its not watch his last show in 2022 you fucking dont know how fucking hard this is. a guitar player cant be always smooth sometimes its sloppy some times not.
@@VMaster1997yeah, 99% of people who have any issue with the “guitar solo’s” have no concept of how difficult pretty much anything in a Symphony X song is. The arpeggio lines and harmonies…literally…I see one guitarist.
Nope, it was just an off-day, Malmsteen also plays incredibly well for how difficult his songs are and how much he moves on stage, I saw him live in London this year and he was really good. I'm not sure if you've ever played live, but it's really really difficult to be consistent. On my best days I play a Malmsteen solo, but on the worst I can fuck up even a simple lick because I just start on a bad note for any number of reasons (tiredness, lightshow, bad visibility etc) and it all goes to shit. It's important to have a backup plan in case this happens -- but there's no viable backup plan for this tapping solo. I think more people would appreciate these amazing guitarists if they ever tried playing live.
Pagans Minds Nils K. Rue would be nice also. But I still like James LaBrie even with his flaws. DT wouldn't be DT without LaBrie. Same thing like DT without Portnoy! Mangini is better drummer, but I still prefer Portnoy in DT any given day.
That would ruin an excellent band for the benefit of giving a band that has lost the clue of making good songs since nearly a decade a singer it does not deserve!
I guarantee his guitar was messed up. Because there is one part in this show where his guitar "frets out" from a bend and there's no telling what could be wrong with it.
I really think Micheal Romeo should get Powerball II's because the 1st generation ones are known for sounding so fat they blend in with the background of the music. They lose their power in the foreground and they are gone with rhythm. Also, Romeo completely messed up that solo. What a mess.
Я не понимаю почему гениальная , на мой взгляд, группа Symphony X не так раскручена и известная как хотелось бы…. Эта музыка профессиональная и очень высокого качества
It's a pity Russell didn't forget words anywhere and the drummer didn't fuck up, or else it would've been a cool "Fast and sloppy" example! Great show anyway!
I feel like michael is really pissed at his younger self for making the solos so hard. Because man, that was super sloppy. He used to play it flawlessly that tapping part especially. Was really rough here. Still great guitarist, but you can't deny it was sloppy
claro, si hace mucho frìo no se puede solear bien, generalmente esos solos los toca sentado por lo que es mas dificil tocar parado debido que en este caso la guitarra queda mas abajo,
We can hear the garbage because it’s on a recording, but I’m sure live no one could hear he sloppy guitar playing. But also, how many of us guitarists can stand up with a shoulder strap and play as accurately or cleanly. We never stand when practicing and it makes it a different ball game.
With this performance & some people said romeo is better than petrucci 😂 when u write solo that u can't play on live. LoL look at that bassist face at ending of the solo
I will admit Romeo can be sloppy from time to time, but I seriously think there was something wrong with one of his strings in this performance, or it was out of tune. I've seen him nail this solo plenty of times. Petrucci is a better live player, but I think Romeo is a better composer. Personally
Is this the reason why these guys dont bother make the album anymore ? lolol isn't you guys the one change your sound to more metal oriented because one to gain more audience ? haha These guys last good album is The Odyssey
Paradise Lost and The Odyssey are better songs than DT have ever written. More inspired, more interesting, more challenging, and better performed than noisy DT. Facts
@@jaimecyd6315 facts you said, its just your opinion man 😅 , even SX itself have more better songs that these 2 imo like Through the looking glass and Rediscovery
