Did you figure it out? I’m having the same issue even when parked. I’m gonna replace the belt and tensioner. Maybe the pulleys as well after further inspection.
Was having electronic power steering issue … could not source the issue, change alternator and battery and it still was bad…changed belt, tensioner bracket and idler pulley and it’s perfect now 🙏🏾
Feel like I'm in this loop currently. Dropping voltage and car in limp mode. Had an alternator and battery can't find fix. I may look at belt and tensioner.
You didn't mention to much pressure on belt so belt breaks or water pump bearings fail like on chev cruze , this fault needs to be fixed , oh your ch ch is bs and your bs when not listening repair parts people you better fix your problem
Mine moves like the one in this video..also makes vibration and horrible noise...and also makes belt flap around even though belt has plenty of tension ..I thought it was compressor, then water pump and a few other things..just never had this issue on a car before...
@@solderbuffHigh milage! I can guarantee that's the answer you will get and this is an educated guess coming from a self taught couch potato, also for anyone who wants to question my expertise on this subject, just know that I have an uncle who has extensive automotive knowledge, he can even do an oil change all by himself! Also I have been collecting hot wheels for years and have many different monthly car magazines subscriptions that get mailed which also has lots of different car parts and stuff, lastly I have watched every fast and furious movie, how's that for credentials 😎
That is your lifters starting to go out man you’ll need a top end rebuild or swap the motor eventually use the Lucas brand to prolong it any further and don’t press on the gas hard let the truck warm up
Thicker oil is never the solution to anything. There are a lot of different things that could be causing your issue and the proper way to find out is to take it to a licensed mechanic for diagnostic. It's worth the money to pay for professional diagnosis because if you just listen to random strangers on the internet, you will end up spending more money anyway, as you'll be buying parts and wasting your time or someone else's time trying to do the repair yourself and doing it incorrectly, or replacing parts that haven't failed. Nobody here has seen or touched your car and there is simply no way we could tell you what's wrong with it. Anyone who claims to know the problem without seeing or hearing your car in person is not someone you should trust.
I bought a new SKF tensioner for my Hyundai Getz and I noticed there is about a 1mm/1.5mm wobble when I move it laterally with my hand. Should I be concerned or should it not wobble at all?
I’m really hoping this could help me with my problem I have 08 Lancer manual transmission and every time when I go turn on the car it’s like the belt just slips off
I had a bad belt tensioner...it was making the belt walk halfway off the power steering pulley.chewing up the belt...leading to the belt breaking...hope it helps somebody
look the car nocks for 2 seconds on start up is it because the oil goes completely back to the oil pan or is it tensioner symptoms no one will answer this question
Mercedes Benz c class 180 kompressor 2005 petrol Code reading p201c mixture format self adaptation (fuel trim) It takes about 5 seconds to start it struggles. Drive can be sluggish at times and petrol drinks like its a joke did 55miles with £30 petrol. I left this problem for 2 to 3 weeks it had no engine light on after a few weeks gone by the engine light came on And got the codes no one knew the problem and still dont I noticed since my car went low on fuel it started straight away with no struggle and the performance was excellent and drive was smooth When i put half a tank of petrol in it took 3 seconds to start when i left me car parked on low fuel over night the next day the engine light came off
my car is making is grinding/brushing noise and today I noticed its also started to make random clicking or nocking noise when lifting clutch or accelerating can some suggest me how to diagnose the issue?
A mechanic told me that since he was able to push the wheel back against the motor (from the round face of the wheel), this is a sign of a bad tensioner. Is this true?
So my poly bearings were greased up and the belt was replaced. I did not have a tensioner on me to do the replacement, but mechanic did have a belt. the noise is mostly gone, should i still invest in a new tensioner?
since I'm replacing the belt, can I lubricate that tensioner pulley (not the belt of course) with some kind of lithium grease spray or something else? I'm not having any issue with noise or anythiing, just replacing the belt at 70k as its showing a bit of wear.
ive changed the oil the car only has 88 thousand miles on it why does it have to knock for 2 seconds before the oil pressure builds up ? it didnt do this when it was new
My problem started recently after putting on a new belt. OEM was bando, Japanese belt. But I put a Goodyear belt that cost half the price. It squeaks a little when cold and slips when hot and accelerating or starting car. It's a quick jump. It only slips when accelerating but once it picks up steam it doesn't slip at all.
