@@ElmerPacheco-j9j mine wasn’t too bad and did solve all my problems, part was 184$ and they charged 150$ for labor. Ngl the labor seemed excessive since they did it in 45 minutes. I think I probably could have done it myself but was afraid of messing something up. If only I had confidence
I had this problem last year in September. I was driving at highway speeds and the AC was cold but in the city it wasn't as cold. It also overheated and stop and go traffic but when I was on the highway it didn't overheat. So yeah it was the fan and I fixed it but I already knew that before watching this video but it's still very entertaining So thanks.
i think my cooling fan may be bad, i was sitting idle with the A/C on and i noticed the temperature gauge was getting high but as soon as i turned the A/C off the gauge went back to normal… it was also normal when i was driving and it sounds like i can hear the fan when i’m in a drive thru… it’s also hot af in texas right now
What is the cause of a fan running loud. There are not check engine or other temperature sensors on. Is the motor bad or do I need to replace the whole fan assembly?
I have an 01 civic and turns out my fuse in my car has a bigger amperage than the original cooling fan fuse.Everytime I turn on my car the fans kick on immediately I'm ordering a new fuse rn.
If one of the two fans is working, should the other be working, also, at the same speed? Or is it computer controlled and additive, meaning does only one fan sometimes come on, normally, and the second fan only when needed? I've got one of the two fans that is acting sluggish when I first started the car, then stopped completely before the motor warmed up - not sure if this is normal or not. Thanks!
I have a problem with my Mercedes e300, fan sounds like a jet engine but I took it to my mechanic and they said nothing in the car is telling the fan to turn on, so they said I might need a new battery will cost me about $500-$600 plus the labor.
I am having these issues. Turns out both of my radiator fans are not working. I didn't notice the AC fan went out since the main still worked until a few days ago. Not sure when the first one went out, but I guess it is common since the main fan can easily compensate. When I tried to take off the harness from the secondary fan, the harness plug mated to the fan crumbled off and was burnt. I decided not to mess with the main fan plug on the off chance it might still work, it doesn't even after bypassing the wiring. I ordered a temporary universal fan via 2-day shipping until I figure things out.
I live in Az..its hot.. When I 4x4 I see that my truck kinda starts over heating when I really rush my truck... like climbing up hiills.. SO maybe i should rig up another fan in front of the condenser? would that interfere with the air flow? also cause more cooling with my ac?
my radiator fan doesn't run, and my ac acts exactly haw you described but everyone I asked says they're not related but none of them have looked at it can you tell me other reasons why both wouldn't work?
If anyone sees this, I replaced a 40amp L shape fuse on my g35 coupe and it turned the radiator fan back on (passenger fan). Then it stopped working a few days later and I saw the fuse bubble up and it’s not blown but it’s to the point where it won’t spin so I guess it’s blown. The fan is aftermarket OE fan so could it be drawing or trying to put out more amps then the 40amp fuse can handle thus causing it to blow? If so I’ll replace the fan Motor
What if the fan runs but your temperature rises when it's idling or low speeds? Fan runs constantly, even when you've cut the engine. Water pump and radiator are fine. Could it still be the fan?
My 2011 ford taurus had the water pump replaced because of leak. But car over heats with running a/c and the fan doesn't shut off and it drains the battery. Please help Thank you
Think I found my issue. My cars AC gets iced cold at higher speeds and semi cold at lower speeds. The cooling fans don't work at all not even when the ac is on. However, I tap the fan motor and it turns on. And I wanted to say it was a bad thermostat or bad ECT sensor and the relays and fuses but I replaced everything. Fan still don't work. The engines temperature stays at 195° when I'm driving the car. But at a stop light or stop sign for too long and it'll overheat.
I have the exact same issue except my fans do come on but then immediately turn off every other minute making the car overheat. Not sure if u should just replace the whole radiator fan or if it may be another issue.
Can a malfunctioning fan be intermittent? My car's temperature light came on, car was overheating when idle with the AC on, and days later without the AC on. Can't seem to replicate it again though 🤔
@@cenchloraadums3143 you're not wrong. Unfortunately the fan motor gave out about 2 days after posting my comment. But I was able to replace it and now thankfully everything seems to be working great!
What is a bad radiator? Its either working or not? Or its not spinning fast enough, which makes no sense as the car is still not overheating just not cold ac.
@@mupcountry7153 same here, will replacing the whole radiator fan fix this issue? Or is it something else. I don’t want to buy and install a fan without it being the actual cause.
Thats normal it turns on and off to regulate temp not to keep running. The problem is when yoy turn ac on and fans don't come on at all when idle or at a stop light which will make the car start to overheat.
2005 police crown vic ---- BRO I NEED HELP! been having overheating issues & replaced everything in the system. NOT overheating anymore but the radiator fan goes to high after only 5 mins of running. stays on high fan until shut off. replaced the radiator, water pump, CT sensor, HT sensor, thermostat (160), fresh coolant after 3 flushes. used a laser temp tool & highest reading on cyl or anywhere, is only 160 degrees. fan will be on HIGH with that LOW temp. CANT FIGURE IT OUT & NEED TO SELL!. NO ENGINE CODES.
Many of reasons. Could be lost of proper voltage/ground. Is the low and high speed not working or both all together ? If you have proper voltage and a strong ground to your connector. You should try take the fan off and jump the power and ground to the pins. (Note) don’t worry which pin is negative and positive. It’s a dc motor so you won’t hurt anything if you’re worried about crossing the wires. Fan will just spin backwards if anything. But try to supply external power and ground to the control module and if that don’t work. Your narrowed down to a bad control module or motor. You can also by pass the module and juice directly to the motor. If your fan starts spinning after juicing directly to the motor. Your culprit is the control module. Hope this helped. And goodluck with your problems!
Mine is making loud noises when Ac is on and when its not. And alternator and battery light popping on and off, seldom. I just had Nissan replace alternator, so I know its not that. Their now saying its the radiator fan wobbling. But it wasn't doing it prior to alternator fix. This is so annoying. 2013 jx35
I’m having an issue where as though my fan keeps running after I turn the car off and it drains my battery, I just changed the fan and it’s still doing the same thing, what do I do?
so my ac randomly breaks.. I drive the car without ac for 2 days or so before I noticed the car was heating more the usual, and then all of a sudden I notice my engine fans weren’t turning on
My van dont work, but i got no problems. I might be because there is no bottom cover for the engine, and the wind is cooling it. Been driving like this for 50.000 km now😂
Every part of my cooling system works and every component of the ac works.but my radiator fan stopped working and apparently thats why my ac isnt working
