My car's speed sensor has a problem and a DTC appears after scanning. I have tried replacing the sensor with a new sensor, but the problem is not resolved because if the engine is running the check engine light comes on and if it goes 10/20 meters the check engine light goes off. but if you stop check the engine starts again. the car feels heavy when driving.. what steps do I need to take? if the cable is safe and not broken.

im trying to separate the functions and locations of certain issues. i have to determine if i fried my vehicle dynamic control module (VDC) which comes as one piece mounted to the ABS pump (part# 27596FJ190); or, if i just damaged the wheel speed sensor (VSS). i installed new bearings, and knuckles for a slightly later manufacture date. my lights all came on and the car was in limp mode- couldnt even get up to 1k rpm; car was limiting speed through rpm's. I drive a standard, so i shifted to 2dn, and then 3rd gear in that almost-idling state. once in 3rd gear, all the lights that were on in the dash (ABS, hill assist, cruise control, traction control, check engine), blink on and off a few times, then stay on, as the car now comes out of limp mode- but all the lights are stuck on. cleared codes, lights came back, replaced bearings, cleared codes again, lights came back, replaced knuckles, now the codes wont clear with the various scanners. one code is P0500 (WSS A is bad), and the other is U0122 (lost comm's with VDC module). both are permanent. ABS pump comes with a silicone-sealed VDC module...$1600. both codes are permanent.

I got a rebuilt cluster and everything works but the speedometer, my transmission runs fine idk if I need to replace the speed sensor or not

I have a 96 f 150 ( 5 speed manual ) the fuse blows I unhooked the plug that goes into the speedometer and still blows so its in the wiring of circuit. Can a bad speed sensor be the problem ?

P1700 on a 98 4Runner…reads 690-700 ohms from the senor. Should it read 1500-2000 ohms? Thank you!

I have a flashing D light scanned it and it was pointing towards to solenoid sensor, I replaced it n the car still not shifting from 1st gear. Hopefully if I change the speed sensor my issue will be resolved😢

I just purchased a 2013 Nissan Marano sport, utility vehicle. And when you put it in drive, it will not go anywhere. Nor will it let you accelerate when you put it in. Reverse the same thing happens. However, when you put it in park on neutral, you can accelerate and everything works. Could that be a Faulty speed sensor

Just had a p0500 on my 2012 corolla, The speedometer stopped working while driving and abs and power steering shut off. Now the p0500 makes sense, But why did my battery light come on then start flashing then disappear? I cleared the code but i will be doing tests on every single one of these sensors, Hopefully no rats chewed through it. I will be using my autel to read each sensor and also so some simple multimeter readings

I got a 2002 Honda accord automatic and it shifts rough 1st nd 2nd gear and also jerks/jumps when going from park to drive or reverse only wen moving to drive or reverse it jerks/jumps and also when coming to stop it jerks/jump no check engine but the abs light is on cruise control doesn’t work either would appreciate the help

Can the vehicle speed sensor makemy 09 Impala only start out in first or 2nd gear I can shift it manually but it won't start out in drive or od,I just had a transmission put in from a salvage yard and the transmission was missing a vehicle speed sensor so the mechanic put the one from my old junk transmission onto the one know.

If this sensor is bad, could it cause no reverse?

I changed the speed sensor, didn't stop the speedometer from jumping. changed the dash speedometer, didn't work, had wires to sensor worked on, didn't work. What else could it be?

At the very least you would explain how to test the wires /connector with a multimeter . This was click bait
