That's a fairly generic code. In order to find out what's causing it, you'll need to either continue on and diagnose the problem, or just fire the parts canon and hope you get lucky. Personally, I would diagnose the issue. I would start by looking at your fuel trims. Does the output voltage of the O2 sensors correspond to what the pcm is calling for? Do you have one or two banks? Having a problem with a single bank can eliminate all kinds of issues. Did you bypass your O2 sensors? If so, what did you find out? Just start with the simple things like what I just listed. Chances are you'll find something that can point you in the right direction. You definitely want to do this before you start taking things apart. If you can't narrow your choices down, you could be working on it for a very long time.
