I really wish sync has a lifetime one time purchase, man... That would be really perfect. Sigh... All I really want is to put my family pictures etc etc.. Nothing more, but hearing that there is only 1 folder for encryption, that made me really want the sync more... Please keep us up to date ! Thank you for the video uploads!
As someone who's after unlimited storage it seems like Sync is by far the best option. I'd pay a large premium to have a great platform like Google, but unfortunately that's not possible anymore. Thanks for the review
@@Steph1 Google just has a great ecosystem with Drive, Emails, Calendar, Meet etc. so using that would be super convenient. They have an option with Google Workspace but it maxes out at 10TB - they don't offer unlimited anymore
Hi, i just updated sync today on my pc. I clicked on the icon and it said an update was available so i updated it. Now when i click the icon it says "uploading files to server" and all my files in my sync folder don't have the green checkmark.
If you just have one computer but 2-3 hard drives with family photos and so on on it you would never want to lose, which of all these is the best? I had crashplan and lost an entire drive as they back them up by the letter of the drive. I was backing up my 1T hard drive for 2-3 years, one time I put in a thumb drive with a few photos on it and Crashplan backed it up over my 1T drive just because it had the same drive name. I lost the entire drive. Also you have to hook them up once a month or they are deleted which is insane, that is the purpose of back up, you back it up and it is there when you need it not every 30 days. Is there a service that backs up your main computer regularly for a future crash but you can just plug in a drive once and have it saved, no 30 days, if you do not plug it in for a year and the house burns down and the drive is gone, you can still get it? Is there a service like that out there? Thanks!
Thanks for the video, but I was looking for TimeMachine replacement, a service that backup all my folders (documents order, movies folder, pictures folder, etc.) without me moving everything in the /Sync folder. Is there a service like that that offer 5 Tb storage? iCloud doesn't Thanks
We have sync and we still not used to it. 😢 If you load docs to the website cloud storage...you cant open and edidlt doc ..you have to download it all the time . Its frustrating. And its for office use so its documents that 2 people work on continuously throughout the day. But maybe im doing something wrong.
i have been searching over and over again, but cant find a service which meet my demands. Like. Zero Knowlegde, Unlimited File Versioning, and Synch anyfolder at my PC, my Currently is SpiderOak. But seems like no one else have that services. 365 days File Versioning is not enough. Also it need to be fast to synch, cause i do a lot of development where i change files all the times, sometimes one time in a minute.
I got the Pro Teams Advanced Unlimited package, send the support team about 3 emails, 24 hours later, not one email back. VERY poor service, did I read you can only upload 300,000 files per one account....
You're not alone. Their CS is AWFUL and they do not take the time to elaborate and ANYTHING. I think it may be AI answering my questions - it's just that generic.
I love sync but god it annoys me they dont have linux support. Its fine since I don't main Linux but for business use, specifically with remote teams, I would want a solution at supports all OS. Tresorit does but god its freaking expensive compared to sync.
Hey, I appreciate your work to do accurate reviews, but Sync is not what it seems. They have no customer service that is helpful, they have tech glitches on their site that loses files after they're loaded, and passwords constantly get junked and have to be reset, which takes up to an hour. Terrible experience. Even Amazon Drive doesn't do this and they have lackluster service. Scale of 1-10, to being the best, Sync gets -1.
