I really loved this conversation... I listened a week or so ago and I'm only 80% sure it was in this one ~~ but one small thing that stuck with me was something about a connection between inability or shame around dancing, and being severed from our indigenous roots. That really struck me, as a person who has long worked to overcome a huge amount of unease around self expression, and someone with roots that were for sure severed. Also, really looking forward to Godsey's work exploring CPTSD. Anyway sending big love to you both!!

The intro “just follow what the inside tells you to do” as a solution, makes sense. Because they spend your entire childhood telling you not to.

I have just discovered this podcast. thank you. i’ve recently started Jungian Analysis and the way you both describe the various psychic tensions that keep one stuck is the clearest i’ve heard and the truest to my own experience. The conversation about just not knowing what to do next or how to make the best use of my time and then the shame that comes when i feel like i’m not using my time well. it’s literally the first time anyone has described that spot on. i love this space, thank you for sharing so honestly and openly.

That part about the “gifted child” was incredible. It is so completely true. My mom was “tough” and “strong” and bold and she survived and we survived. My aunt was soft and open and sensitive and she fell into alcoholism and I believe she was trying to medicate and numb herself because she felt so deeply. The alcohol took its toll. She passed away recently and I am honestly grateful she no longer has to suffer in this life. It was awful to watch. She had one of the hugest most loving hearts of anyone I have ever known. ❤

Erick! Everything you are speaking about especially in the end is what I've experienced to be true in my 68 yrs especially as a mother and grandmother. The separation from the earth mother is traumatic

Listening a year after this release but the journaling convo really resonated. I just started reading a book, The Artists Way, A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity by Julia Cameron, and one of the key elements of the book is for the reader to participate in daily "Morning Pages." Minimum 3 pages written everyday. I am only on week 3, but there is definitely a magic to this and I'm excited to see where this goes.

This may sound silly but the way yall describe enlightenment reminds me alot of Tom Bombadil from Lord of the Rings. Except that he is eternally enlightened and the ring of power has no hold over him whatsoever. Anyways great conversation. Awkwardly laughed out loud at Michael’s JP impression. You then distinguished between the Apollonian and Dionysian in a way I used to think. But then I read Peter Kingsley on Parmenides. First, In the Dark Places of Wisdom, then Reality. And it made me realize how luminously dark Apollo actually is.

We are using the wrong calendar. The 260 day calendar is a no brain choice for people who are studying synchronicity. Learning the 20 days is fairly simple, and the english alphabet has 20 consonants, and even young children can learn those. Freud and Jung were born on the same day in that calendar, and timing of birth directly relates to the product or function. John Belushi and Chris Farley also born on the same day,...and their lives played out in synchronistic irony. A living time system is much more meaningful than a financial calendar, and that is why no society ever used a financial calendar for their daily lives. Videos on my channel ,.. Your male role king aspects could give more space-time to your feminine role queen aspects...Allow yourselves to Do less and Be more...as a multidimensional creative female not feeling emotions, I have to listen to my sensations to decode my reactions. Doing nothing- observing consciously Space-time unfold synchronicities.
