No that is the godmother of female hardcore Dana, and then Korsakoff and DayMar. They are way longer in the business.

What is 'Female hardcore'? Although I must admit Dana is like the god mother. So I agree on that part, because she sure has earned here stripes and credit and respect. Dana is great, but my question is does that automatically make any other dj with a long history in the hc scene good/great in your opinion? I mean agreed on the Dana part, but these two ladys sure know how to throw a party. Personally I think AnimE is sure Queen worthy and Mk8 to. Although I slightly prefer AnimE before Mk8. Wrong the real Queen of Hardcore And Thunderdome is Lady-Dana Bro (original name: Dana van Dreven from The Netherlands). We have been in this music for over 40 years, you are just coming to see it new. We sure know who the queen of hardcore is here. Miss k8 has good tracks. But definitely not the queen of hardcore. Then you will have to delve deeper into the past. Because Lady-Dana first started with "Hardhouse" (nowadays they call it Early-Hardstyle) Then Dana came up with the idea to make happy-hardcore by changing the hardhouse bass and the bpm (nowadays called Early-Hardcore) Then dana came up with the idea of ​​using bass with a special sound effect that reminds you of a thunderstorm sound. Then Thunderdome was born in 1990, followed by a whopping 15 CD collection of Thunderdome presented by ID&T. Then Thunderdome became such a success that in 1994 they started holding the first festival called "Mysteryland" Where Dana was always the nr1. Then followed several hardhouse DJs to hardcore The Dreamteam, Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo, Lenny Dee en DJ Gizmo. Gradually, Dana returned slowly and surely back. Her last live set was at !PLAY Festival 2022. Miss K8 is nothing between the Mother of Hardcore: Lady-Dana, she was the first person with succeed of Thunderdome and hardcore sounds in 1990's. Today 2023 we thanks Lady-Dana that we have Hardcore music

Anime - Damnation & Salvation

I'm hoping that there at another event in Holland

Anime will be there at EDC 2023. Didn't see Miss K8, at least yet. I know she was there a year or two ago iirc. Need some Korsakoff and Sakyra too. Just saw the EDC lineups recently. I need there to be a good chunk more hardcore & hardstyle for me to make a trip out to the West. I'd almost be inclined to make the trip just to see Anime, lol. Otherwise, most of the others: Dubstep, House, Dance, etc. artists I can see where I'm at. There's next to no hardcore shows near me.

@HellzAssassn closet place to go for some hardstyle is new york city. They have a decent amount of artist that have come over the years. Guns for hire. Angerfist, dj Isaac about 3 times. Dj caffeine, headhunterz (even though they play house now) donkey rollers (missed them) wildstylez. Noisecontrollers (missed them cause I was 8 months pregnant or I Def would have been there). But I'm out in PA and we literally get no hardcore or hardstlye, even in Philly. But edc las vegas in 2019 had some great classic artists like Technoboy, TNT, Dj Isaac, DJ Lady Faith, Brennan Heart, Angerfist (i got to be in his music video fucking bucket list shit!!!!!) There was a really good line up. The wasteland stage has a different vibe then all the others. Of course as a fellow raver you know us hard dance folk really know how to get down. I appreciate all the other stages but I just wish they put more effort in the lighting for the wasteland stage like they do for some of the main stages. Just the lighting wasn't as good.

​@@meghankathleen4474 Absolutely, I've definitely seen a fair share of hardcore/hardstyle show up there in NYC. Never hit up any of the shows there yet. That's fuckin' awesome you were in Angerfists music video though. Holy shit, definitely a bucket list item ticked off! I'm in DC and we have plenty of great clubs (Echostage being #1 in the world, humble brag, lol) but none play hard dance. I'm sure Philly has wonderful fuckin' stages too. I've ALWAYS got my eyes on shows in the area and there's never a single hardstyle/hardcore artist playing. I still go out once every week or two. Hell, I'm seeing Sullivan King and Pendulum soon, during the same week at Echo, 2 days apart. But I definitely feel ya on the lack of hard dance in the area, whether it be DC or Philly, or pretty much anywhere but NYC, unless it's a big festival. I'm jelly you were able to see some classic hardstyle and some hardcore too. I'd kill to see Guns for Hire and Angerfist, let alone, literally everyone else you listed. I missed Lady Faith when she played at Nightmare Festival a while back. The one year I didn't go, I was SO fucking bummed. It sucks the Wasteland stage was lackluster, but hardcore/hardstyle just isn't popular here in the states at all, unfortunately, so I guess they put less work into those stages. Keep spreadin' the word and ravin' to hard dance! \m/
