So this Stabilizer relocation kit and Shock need to be ordered for the Gladiator with 1 and 5/8 track bar. Apparently the Wrangler is smaller. When you order the kit for the Gladiator, use the part numbers below.
Fox Shox PS Stabilizer IFP 98524173
Synergy Manufacturing Part #: 8807-04 This part is for 1 and 5/8 verify before buying. I had ot buy this part twice because I got the smaller Wrangler one originally.

Are you using the OEM tie rod? ... Nevermind, the specs for #8807-04 shows its for the OEM tie rod and the specs on #8807-03 shows its for a synergy tie rod. :)

When I installed mine the trackbar bolt side of the stabilizer tube barely contacts the tie rod at full passenger, and the stabilizer connection at the trackbar stud rests angled more then I would like. I had to use the second washer under the 1/2” bolt to get the stabilizer up enough to make it barely touch. Without that washer it would’ve dented the stabilizer on tie Rod contact at full passenger. What is yours looking like?

Which bolt did you use to connect to the track bar?

Hey just a heads up for anyone doing this, I am trying to install this kit with the stock stabilizer however terraflex made the bolt just slightly bigger than the stock eyelets. So you need to drill them out or get the fox or terraflex stabiliser.

Did you have any issues with the shock body hitting the tie rod at full right turn?

Slightly. I added washers to the tie rod clamp bolt to the shock mount.

@@c130aviator I have this setup and the shock body will hit the factory tierod. I tried to add some washers but it still hits. I have tried to play with the orientation of the clamp (slightly past vertical in either direction). Have not found a solution yet. Synergy relocation may work well with their narrower tierod. Don't think it works well with factory or aftermarket tierods that are 1 and 5/8".

How are you liking that synergy setup for drag link and tire rod? Better driving dynamics ?
@c130aviator

It just moves the fox shock above the tie rod. So it doest get hit by rocks.

Did you have use a relocation bracket to bolt in the other side?

Not a bracket. Just a bolt that is double threaded.

Great vid. I’m about to install mine on Saturday. 2 questions: 1. Do I have to make sure the tires are super straight while positioning the shock? Does it matter if they’re not perfectly aligned? 2. Does it matter if the receptacle is to the left or to the right? I’ve noticed on pictures of the installation where the receptacle is opposite to how you installed it. Thanks!

If the fox shock is not neutral (will slowly push out), won't it cause issues like steering pulling?
@c130aviator
@c130aviator 4 года назад
I thought the same thing. Its so slight a movement its not enought to pull the truck to one side or the other. Its a control pressure against the fluid in the shock. So in theory its not there to push the shock, only to control it.

Please be sure to consult someone who knows the basics. If you struggle with this, I would avoid modifying your jeep all together.

I installed this “so called” steering stabilizer in my JL and I could not take my hands off the wheel. It wants to turn right, all the time. Don’t waste your money on this “steering stabilizer”. It is a weak shock absorber and you will be constantly drift to the right. Took it off after one week and installed a “real” steering stabilizer that keeps my JL centered.
