Synergy SYN-2 Dual Module Tube Preamp 

Welcome back to ToneReport.com Today, we’re plugging into the Synergy SYN-2. The SYN-2 is a dual-module version of Synergy’s game-changing swappable preamp system. Any amp equipped with an effects loop can make use of the SYN-2 and you can choose from any one of several modules to do so. Each module is designed by amp gurus to give you the exact tone and feel of the amp they’re emulating, with many modules designed by the emulated amp’s original designer. A wide variety of modules are available, representing classic rock standbys and boutique ampsmiths with gain ranges across the board. Two channels await you in each module, for two different settings you can switch between seamlessly. The modules contains a host of premium parts that made the originals special, along with a duo of 12AX7s for truly authentic tone. Using the SYN-2 with your effects loop couldn’t be simpler, just connect the send and return to the corresponding jacks on the SYN-2 and you’re wired up. The SYN-2’s footswitch lets you enjoy the convenience of five different amp settings, between both channels on each module and your original amp. The rear panel of the this rackmount dual module preamp has a host of options, including an additional effects loop so your own amp doesn’t lose any functionality. The SYN2 is equipped with stereo outs, both in quarter-inch and XLR form for easy recording and DAW integration. Each SYN-2 also contains a highly-configurable MIDI section so your amp can pull its weight with a modern rig. Like the SYN-1, the SYN-2 also contains a custom-designed sag circuit that emulates real amp sag so you can set your modules just like you like them. And just like all Synergy products, the SYN-2 is assembled right here in the States.
