My question is I am setting up my nas for the first time and have two many photos on my Mac in iPhoto. I mend to off load photos as my internal hard on my computer is almost full. So do I move them from iPhoto to synology photos or just build file folders and store them there?

Hello Matt... In case you have all originals with you, then you don't have worry about downloading from iPhoto. But if you don't have them, then you have to download the hi-res copy and store in your Synology NAS using Synology Photo. 👍

Are the background soft colors around on the background around you deliberately set like that because if certainly makes it easier to watch you like that. Thats very clever, psychologically clever.

How can I run the facial AI function on existing photos on my Synology NAS (home/main) folder? If I add my main folder from my NAS to Synology Photos will it try to copy/duplicate everything? I just want to utilize the facial recognition with photos already stored throughout my NAS.

Which drives do you use in your Synology system? Just noticed that Seagate Ironwolf drives are double the price in India compared to the US - whereas seagate consumer drives are priced at par with US prices

You mentioned being able to backup specific folders in mobile, but didn't show it. I can't find it in settings?

How can I offload my iPhone pics to my NAS (keep just 1 year's worth of pics/vids) and access them if needed via remote access to my NAS?

Thank you for your informative video. I've been looking for an alternative to iCloud for a long time because I was concerned about privacy. However, I have one question: Do I lose all my data if there is a power outage (shouldn't happen) or someone pulls the plug or I have network problems? Thanks in advance Greetings from Switzerland
@PIXELVIILAGE
@PIXELVIILAGE Год назад
Thank you for your comment. 🙏 No. You will not loose the data. Whatever data that is written prior to the outage will be safe. But I wonder why you in Switzerland is thinking about power outage! I thought it was a third world problem!!! 😀🙏

@@PIXELVIILAGE Thanks for your answer Hahah should not be a problem but reckon with worst because I have to manage everything myself and not as before to external public cloud haha

@@odinxalko7242 😀🙏 Below are few important things you may be want to know: - Power: You might need a UPS system to avoid power outage problem, although in most cases, your data is safe with your Hard Drive (Just like your computer) - Network: when it went off, it will only affect your remote access, it does not necessary affect your data - Natural disaster will be the only threat to loss your data, like fire, flood.. etc You should also consider configuring a RAID set up for your NAS. With Synology knowledge base, it will be easy for you to set this up. However, do notice RAID is NOT backup, its just a data protection method to keep your data safe on Hard Drive. Cheers... Radha 🙏

Can this app provide a means to way to take photos through the app, and therefore bypass the mobile device storage? for example, if a business wants to use photo capture of work orders coming in, we can provide a business mobile device, but how about our delivery drivers? why can't they use their phones to upload business photos to our Synology NAS? oh but wait, business photos intermingle with personal photos on their personal devices. Eventually someone won't pay attention and accidentally upload highly personal personal photos to the company NAS for all connected to see. This will not do. Unless.... of course, there is an app that allows direct photo capture from the app, straight to the NAS device. That would save our business nearly a thousand dollars in mobile devices, just to do something, a simple phone app should do. So before we pay for Synology, can we use this for our business? or... will we have to continue to use Drop Box and their monthly fee, to take advantage of in-app photo taking?
