Mam I've been watching your videos for 1 week because i want to read English words without making a single mistake and following someone's vocabulary , even if how difficult the word is, i haven't been able to read properly, when i read new words, get stuck while reading I would like to tell you en example This word cupid is taken from your video, it was divided like cu/pid, my doubt is why shouldn' it be divided like this cup/id Please help me, And also i have learned IPA, still can't read

IPA symbols help to get the pronunciation of words from a dictionary. They won't help you pronounce the words while reading from standard books. English words follow some rules, whether it's spoken or written English. Cu/pid follows the open syllable rule because here, the letter U says it's a long sound. If you divide the word at cup/id, the word will sound like the cup in which we have tea and /id/. This happens because you are blocking the sound of the long vowel U by adding a consonant after this. If you want to go systematically, first learn the sounds of English letters, learn the short and long vowels, check out what syllables are and at last, go for spelling rules. This will help you to read and write spellings correctly. I hope this helps. Keep learning; you can do it!
