I cant believe you have a whole video on this exact topic! i was so lazy to learn it from my book with all the crazy steps, you simplified it brilliantly
Thank you for this video. You wonderfully summarized the proStaglandin-leukotriene cascade in one page which makes it much more easier to understand. REALLY HELPFUL!!
Hello, thank you for an informative video, loved it. I had a question. In 4:15 you mentioned that PGI2 inhibits platelet activation and formation. Should it not be the opposite? As NSAIDs like Aspirin reduce platelet function.
Ah ..isnt it like this ... Thromboxane A2 is made from COX 1 and PGI2 and PGE2 is made from COX 2 ..thats written in Lippincot ...and in the video its opposite... its confusing me ...do correct me if im wrong.
Then if we can maintain balance of prostaglandins then we can prevent platelet cell imbalances and indirectly reduce incidence of cancer formation sites, isnt it
What a coincidence! I recently helped correct the Pharmacology exams of 3rd year Pharmact students with my Professor. One of the questions was: "Why are prostaglandinE2 analogs often prescribed concomitantly with NSAIDS if patients are to use them rather long-term?" The answer is in the video of course ;)
Thats great! Hopefully not too many mistakes were made. Good job on your channel btw, keep it up! Its great to see graduates who are passionate in their field becoming active on RU-vid! :)
@@AKLECTURES Wow, this means so much coming from you! Thanks a thousand! And if I could have only 50% of your passion I would already go further. You made almost 2000 videos, dude, you're an icon! (and a lifesaver for many!). You should become a professor!
