I own a 1996 Camry V6 purchased new in 1995. I now have over 327,000 miles on the engine. I drove it for the first 500 miles with the oil that came with the car. Since that time I have used Mobile 1 oil and their filters and changed both every 3,000 miles. Last year I did a compression test on the engine and it is within 10 psi of the original factory spec. I first started using Mobile 1 in my 1983, 750 cc Honda Magna Motorcycle because it was rough shifting from gear to gear. I figured I'd give mobile 1 a try and it solved my shifting problem. I now own a 2002 Harley Wide Glide. That bike has over 105,000 miles and the engine has never needed service other than oil and filter changes. The timing chain tensioner which is notorious for disintegrating at 40,000 miles didn't do so on my engine and I credit mobile 1 for that .

I have used Amsoil signature synthetic oil since 1979 and have never worn out an engine I have always got a newer or different car or truck before a engine and transmission wear out my oldest car a 1999 mercury cougar with a 2.5 duratec v-6 has 165,000 miles, I have put all new seals in it and normal repair maintenance. But still going strong.

Part 3 - I was anxious to call my Father-In-Law to bring us some of this new AMSOIL Synthetic oil he was selling. The oil capacity of the tractor was 8 quarts of a 15W40 oil. We had a John Deere filter on hand and a case of AMSOIL 15W40 Diesel oil delivered by my father-in-law and we started on our new journey of lubrication. During the next few months, we monitored the oil consumption closely and I was pleasantly surprised that we got to 120 hours before we had to add a quart of oil. Being somewhat skeptical, firstly of being in new OCI territory at 120 hours and just out of habit, wanting to change the oil. I kept thinking of how pricy the oil was and did not want to drain it. I decided to pull and oil sample and send to the Co-Op laboratory, so another $10, but good peace of mind for the two of us. Again, waited two weeks for the repot to come back and the comments of the lab tech indicated that the oil was fit for continued use. This was a welcome news and such a relief for us, my dad was somewhat reassured. We continued monitoring oil consumption and noticed that the engine seemed to have more holding power under heavy loads. Another benefit that we learned was that we always plugged the engine block heater in during our cold hard winters in case we need the tractor on short notice. In the winter, we had a big double auger snow blower on for snow removal to get the milk truck in to pick up our milk to go to the dairy. I noticed that even with the block heater plugged in, the tractor seemed to start easier on this new oil. One day, we needed the tractor to move some snow. I went to the shed to start the tractor and noticed that we had forgotten to plug in the block heater. This was not good, being desperate to use the tractor I decided to try to start it anyway. We had the option of useing ether, a combustion accelerant in the past, but my dad did not like using this as it could cause catastrophic damage to the engine. So…. I turned the key and the engine turned over slowly for a few turns, but after a few tries, it fired and run rough until it revved up to speed. This was a first for this tractor. It had never ever started in this cold weather with the block heater not plugged in and not having to use ether aerosol blown into the intake breather. Dad was there to witness this event and he nodded his head with a reassuring look in amazement, I was hoping for a positive comment to go with it but not this time. By next spring we were into seeding and the tractor made it to 164 hours before it used one quartin one days work. We drained the oil after taking another oil sample and installed the AMSOIL 15w40 Synthetic oil and a new filter. One thing I wanted to mention is that we changed the oil filter out every 50 hours as per John Deere recommendations as well AMSOIL recommendations. This was something new for my dad to change the filter and not change the oil. I think the oil sample reports is what gave my dad the confidence to believe in the AMSOIL Oil. So we put on four engine oil filters in the 164 hours of use counting the first filter used at the time of the oil change. During this oil change interval, we added three quarts of oil. The oil level was down one quart at the time we drained the oil. One added note, that final oil sample report indicated that the oil in the engine was suitable for continued use, resample in 50 hours. This was the beginning of a new adventure for us all using AMSOIL Synthetic lubricants, and it all started with an idea of sampling the oil condition using an oil sample kit for $10. To this day I am not sure that I would have ventured into using this oil, even though my father-in-law was selling the oil. Mostly just due to the economic culture at the time with plus 20% interest rates and low commodity prices. My father-in-law was also reassured that the AMSOIL performance claims where authentic and proven. He also admitted that if we had decided to nay the purchase of the AMSOIL Oil for the JD 4020, he would have given us the oil for free to just try it out. Either way, it was meant to be that we would continue using this high performing lubricant. I have since furthered my studies in lubrication Tribology by taking many courses from Noria Corporation starting in 2003. I hold a MLAII certification with ICML (International Council for Machinery Lubrication) completed courses in Oil Analysis data interpretation and have a certificate of completion for OAII.My certifications are recognized by professional memberships including ICML International Council for Machinery Lubrication and STLE (Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers) of which I am a member. We have customers that have achieved 325,000 mile drain intervals on a Detroit series 60. We have done this back to back on three OCI’s. This is going 325,000 miles with no oil change’s, three times. Based on Oil sample data, the oil is still suitable for continued use per lab tech recommendations. Our customer changed the oil just simply put that he did not want to go any further than this mileage, we could have gone longer. Using Pore Blockage particle counting tests on the oil sample at the lab, it was determined that the engine overhaul interval could reach 50,000 hours at these drain intervals. This is would save three plus engine overhauls providing the engine made it to 50,000 hours. The best particle count ISO codes we tested where 15/13/11. This cleanliness code is achieved using supplemental bypass filtration system. It helps to remove soot and dirt particles in the oil.

@Rat Tail Hey that's pretty good. What year was the engine built? If it is the new Generation with the cartridge engine oil filter, its really good as these engines are failing long before 1,000,000 Miles. Just witnessed a catastrophic failure on this new engine at 700,000 kms or 450,000 miles, running Rotella 5w-40. Its unfortunate that Detroit used such a poor efficient oil filter. I had taken an oil sample after the failure and the Soot level was at 5%, and with only 425 hours on the oil, the oil was out of Viscosity Spec. Soot levels should never exceed 1%. It was soot that caused the excessive wear and then excessive blowby that further deteriorated the oil causing excessive wear leading to failure. The root cause of this failure was the Detroit OE Poorly Designed, low efficient engine oil filter. Installing an AMSOIL BMK30 BY-Pass Engine Oil filter unit, running at 2 UM/98.7% efficiency plus a Donaldson Blue Full Flow Engine Oil Filter 99% at 15 UM, and an Engineered Man Made Engine oil like AMSOIL you would consistently achieve ISO Cleanliness Codes of 16/15/12, soot levels of less than .5% and you can run up 2000 Hours on one oil change which would be approx 300,000 Miles on one oil change. Maintaining 16/15/12 ISO Codes this engine would last beyond 50,000 hours or 3 Million Miles before an overhaul would be required, this on only 10 oil changes. We are managing the lubrication program for a local construction company and have 3 Cat 988 Loaders running this setup, and all three have exceeded 50,000 hours and going strong with no engine work except periodic Valve Set Adjustments. Typical engine overhauls generally speaking come before 15,000 hours, some with much less like the Detroit failure example above at a cost of $35,000 each. Thanks for your post!

I have used most of the touted brands. To varying degrees, every one of them have proven inferior to Amsoil. Because of my poor choices of oil and filters in the first 100,000 miles of my '01 truck's life, I will probably not get 3 - 400K out of the engine. In '01, 5W-20 was hard to come by, so I had to use what I could get. I was also using brands that were great 30 - 40 years ago which aren't any good now. With the vast amount of information to be had, ignorance is voluntary. Thinking that you are actually saving money by doing cheap maintenance and repairs is pure folly. Your car becomes junk, one cheap repair at a time. Maintain it right and fix it right if you expect to keep driving it. Oils and fluids and even the brand of gasoline you use will determine how much use you will get out your car, all other factors being equal.

Interesting video. What your not up on...your down on. Most folks have not taken the time to study or test the Amsoil products. So they end up not believing what they hear about it. And then there's the few who do their homework and use the product and see for themselves. In my case...Amsoil saved me $18,000 in gas and oil over my million mile journey.

Part 1 - This story turned out to be almost a book, but I was inspired to write this after reading some of the comments left by the many viewers of this video. My experience using AMSOIL all started in the late 70’s with my Father-In-Law dropping by one day and introduced me to this new Synthetic Oil guaranteed for 25,000 miles used in normal driving conditions or 15,000 miles in severe driving conditions for cars and trucks. I am somewhat skeptical about most things, especially something that seems too good to be true. At the time, I was operating a 250-acre dairy farm and custom cropping operation with our family. I was performing all the maintenance and repairs on My experience using AMSOIL all started with my Father-In-Law dropping by one day and introducing me to this new Synthetic Oil guaranteed for 25,000 miles used in normal driving conditions or 15,000 miles in severe driving conditions. I am somewhat skeptical about most things, especially something that seems too good to be true.our equipment. We had a 4020 John Deere Tractor that was our pride and joy and the John Deere recommended oil and filter change intervals was every 50 hours. This tractor at the time was our biggest asset that performed all the heavy cropping tasks. My dad had purchased the JD 4020 tractor 5 years before as used with 2500 hrs. on the meter. The meter now read approximately 5000 hrs.Should I or should I not was the decision I needed to make, and yes this AMSOIL sales man was my Father-In-Law. To top it all off, my Dad was a licensed Auto mechanic for 10 years before he went farming to milk cows and raise a family. His experience in the automotive business was change your oil as per OE recommendations and this is the culture that I grew up with and learned to enjoy, especially in my younger years when I enjoyed driving and racing my 68 Ford Fairlane and the local drag strip..So…. Going to an oil that was considerable more expensive, and this was in the early 80’s with 20% interest rates and we were mortgaged in a very high leveraged situation was almost a no brainer for us. We cannot afford this expensive oil, and to start using this in our most expensive equipment asset was not viable for us.

AMSoil is great stuff. Been using it for many years. But why is it called "forbidden"? You can find it just about anywhere! I always do the same procedure: Use delo 400 for the break in because of the high zinc content, then Amsoil for the duration. Oil changes every 5k miles. I have an old BMW thats fast approaching a million miles (360k of them came with it when I bought it) on the same engine. I keep immaculate service records and I attribute it to this wonderful oil, and a high quality filter.

Sell it now The reason you don't understand, is because, most experienced people don't know how to properly explain anything to new people. So it's not your fault for feeling the way you do. Here's my explanation: AMSOil is the only oil in history that actually has zero friction properties. What does this mean to you? If you have a piece of crap car that you don't care about, then it would make absolutely no sense at all to preserve it. But if you have an amazing car that you sincerely love above all other cars, and would never want to part ways with it, then it would make perfect sense to preserve that car for the entire sum of your life, and even pass it down multiple generations. AMSOil will allow your engine to remain in brand-new condition for generations. The only reason I have met professional mechanics that have talked crap about AMSOil, is because, the only way mechanics can make money, is if you re-visit them as frequently as possible. If your engine was so well preserved, then you would never need to visit mechanics, which means they would no longer make anymore money. They would go out of business. So obviously most mechanics would never want you to know the real truth of AMSOil. It's the exact same way as the trillion-dollar medical industry scam. 99% of doctors don't want you to know the real truth of how to prevent disease in your body, because if you did, then doctors would no longer make anymore money. The supreme medical genius Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski created the full cure for all cancers back in the 1970's. He even had hundreds of thousands of MRI scans proving he cured thousands of children from brain tumors. And because of this, the FDA {which is secretly more evil than Hitler & Stalin} actually tried to destroy Burzynski and throw him in jail. You can watch this free 1 hour and 45 minute video for the full scientific evidence: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rBUGVkmmwbk.html
