I had no idea she was married to Stevie Wonder. With You I'm Born Again is one of my favorite duets. She had a beautiful angelic voice.

She reminds me of Steffanie Mills. I fell in love with the track "Harmour Love" when I first heard it while I was in Primary School. That was about in1975 when I was around 10 years old. It was such a beautiful and catchy tune. Still is today in my opinion. I am very sorry to learned that Ms. Syreeta Wright passed away so young.

I love her song "Wanna Be By Your Side", produced by the Wonderful Stevie Wonder! She and Stevie made a beautiful couple. Sleep peacefully doll. ♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏

"Cause weve ended now as lovers" was written for her by her estranged husband, the legendary Stevie Wonder. They had remained in good terms like most decent, graceful people do. RIP Syreeta, you still have a special place in my heart.

Her backup vocals on I'll Be Good to You by The Brothers Johnson always just grabbed me from the first time I heard the song. I just found out recently it was her. Almost 50 years without knowing.

She was SUPPOSED to replace Diana Ross in the Supremes, but Mary Wilson said NO WAY...the Supremes should go in a different direction.

but why would they let Ross re-do "I can't give back the love i feel for you" and other songs that Syreeta sang ("something's on my mind," "i wanna go back there agan")? why did Motown have their artists constantly covering the same songs within a short time frame or covering songs made famous by other artists (Stevie & Marvin both covered "Sunny" which was a big hit by the person that originally recorded it) within the same time span? That seems counterproductive.

Is there a list of the songs from Stevie's albums that she wrote the lyrics for?
