Its good from freshers point but there are couple of flaws 1) CDN is a conent delivery network its job is to load css, javascript, images which are important aspect to tender a web page...so when u have a C2C web application..you can place your CDN at varius places to avoid latency time and quicly render a web page.....CDN is not a video caching mechanism for bulk quantity videos..for caching you need Redis cache to cache data and feed. 2) you need your own streaming service which can quickly steam vidoe with corect bit rate...this will also help to fetch videos early. 3) scaling is missing here to handle large amount of request. 4) Negative scenarios and edge cases need to be discussed ...like of gateway failed, api failed, caching failed, databse not connected, nework down while uploading videos in between. Good effort.
Thanks, Amit, for your valuable input. Jyoti has just around 2 years of experience and is new to system design. Considering her experience, she made a commendable effort. We will aim to cover these aspects in our upcoming videos.
Great tuto. I just have one doubt, Does this happend in real interview where we will get Function and non functional requirements by recruiter?? or the Capacity estimation ? I get confused in those area only, like how can i remember those detail??
Thanks for watching the video and commenting. Most interviewers come with one-liner interview questions or you can say requirements. A candidate has to think and write functional and non-functional requirements on the drawing pad. Also, the candidate can confirm from the interviewer if he expects the same stuff. Capacity estimation has to do capacity estimation too. You have to practice for capacity estimation. I am sharing one video of Yogita Sharma on the channel @sudocode . She made a super video on this topic- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VBw703pjC3E.html You can watch this video for Quick Tips on System Design - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tALPwBIngM0.html
