This requires that you have V3 Turbo-Motion Boots, obtained from areas in Storage, Flight Deck, and Engineering.
A video guide to finding the hidden audio log required to complete the "In the Not Too Distant Future" Achievement. The audio log is also included. This achievement is a reference to the film review series "Mystery Science Theater 3000", featuring the voices of several of its former cast members.

you don't actually need v3 boots to reach the balcony. i discovered that if you jump from lamp to lamp on the wall and reach the highest one you can glide to balcony with v2 boots.

Seriously? .. I tried EVERYTHING to get there with the V2 boots ... could not do it at all.

I actually had to wipe tears from my face after finding this. Such an emotional moment. I love MST! It takes me back to a time before I was estranged from my family. Watching MST with my little brother was so fun!

Mystery Science Theater 3000. It's an old cult tv show where the premise was this guy and 2 robots stuck on a satellite out in space and forced to watch terrible movies by a mad scientist. It's more of an excuse plot to make fun of old b movies.
