watch unique way of striking tension out of the body and achieving total relaxation for health and combat application stay tuned for amazing Lesson 3...
Although I remember the experience of the relaxation strikes from this video(I am the guy in the brown shirt toward the end of the video) I hadn't seen the clip until a friend sent it to me yesterday. Just wanted to say I fortunate I feel to have the opportunity to train with such amazing people. Thank you. Jonathan
you're right Juan Carlos, these are inspiring videos. I have just ordered Vasiliev's book on breathing. I think it's a path worth being explored. I personally feel richer and stronger when peaceful, and my problem is dealing with anxiety and anger, two insidious enemies. Hopefully I can attend Ryabko's and Vasiliev's seminars soon.
Its so rare to see relaxation or healing strikes in martial arts, all of them are made to hurt...this is truly a very advanced form of martial arts (IMO) that follows very deep metaphysical and religious paterns. What I understand is that u become a very powerful individual by being a peaceful nice man...I may be mistaken though...but the video is awsome
Владимир, но где же объясняется суть воздействия на тело при подобных ударах? Какие упражнения нужны, чтобы открыть в себе способность оказывать такое воздействие?
@LifeKido Hey I'm interested in learning systema but there's nowhere near me that teaches it so youtube has to do its best instead... I was just wondering, had you had any training before that video or were those your natural reactions after being hit?
Alex Bobinski It's not very complex, it's just relaxation and whipping/law of conservation of energy. Try to do the same over 10,000 reps and you will get there
Do they ever explain the mechanics of such strikes? I mean, HOW they train to deliver this kind of effect to the body? I saw Ryabko putting huge guys to sleep (literally), or making them feel different parts of body. My guess they're just explaining the motion, but the nature of the things they do they keep to themselves.
in class they explain it, and it's easier when you feel it, your eyesight will betray you while training systema. it's not magic, life energy or anything like that, it's physics, using the right strike at the right time in the right spot. it's no easy feat, it's not like in 1 year of systema training you will have that kind of understanding, i have 3 years of experience with systema and find it incredibly hard to have that specific focus to see those opportunities, let alone act upon them and striking correctly, but it happens whe you enter the flow state, there's nothing supernatural, just great consciousness of your body and your enemy's body. one easy example that you can try is a sort of choreographed set of strikes, you can ask for someone to offer mild collaboration (it's easier if you think about it as studying at first rather than testing. if your partner goes full resistance when you begin, it will not work out, you need to start slow and easy and build upon it, like playing guitar, if you try to go straight for a power metal solo you'll never get there), and try to go for faint in the head, then if they bend their upper body back you can easily kick their waist in a pushing motion. if they duck for any side just bring the hand that fainted upon them, going for their face. best way is to try things and trust your gut, when you get it right, you will know it
I know right! Hes so young! Manny is my favorite instructor. He best native english speaking instructor imo(then guiseppi filotto then english dude from cutting edge systema channel). Manny has best explanations for the more subtle stuff that I don't think mikhail, konstantin, and vlad can properly convey through a russian to english translation.
