Hi! This video helped me out alot, especially with how to use the tool. But I have the same problem as stated below, and was wondering when I connect the Distress Beacon port to the Compass system port, as it was done in the video, I received an "invalid connector." I was wondering how do you fix this error? Great video!
Hi there! I'm having trouble understanding why it is that, on the OV-6b at 20:03, the sending of the signal from Search node to rescue node is both the data types, and not 2 Op. Act. Actions, or one action for each. Is it because there's only 1 communication between these two groups, which is sending both of those data types? If so, is there ever a case for having 2 lines between 2 different swim lanes if and only if there's 1 communication that occurs? Thank you!
Thank you, this has been very helpful. I did run into a few parts that were confusing and would appreciate some clarification. 1st, at 25:18 when you created station, the element was stored where the map was located; in my case under SAR capability. Shouldn't the performer be stored under the OV-2 directory, does its location matter in the functionality of the model? The same thoughts on when you created the capability configurations. Then at 30:28 when i went to create the resource link between the two resource ports i receive a validation error stating: "Invalid Connector! Connector owner is wrong or Connector ends specified in the model are changed!" What does this mean, and what is causing the error? I did notice if i create the resource port on Yaht directly, it works with only a warning error stating that "End element(s) of Resource Connector are in Block Search Unit v2. Relationship is not in the same owner as it's end elements." Thank you!
Thanks for your presentation! I have a question: When you first start your project in MagicDraw/Cameo, you're selecting a DoDAF 2.0 type (not just the perspective, but the folder structuring and element names are all coming from UPDM, correct?). Suppose I start a project in a different type like SysML project, and then want to migrate it over to a DoDAF 2.0 down the road... how difficult is that? Is there a tool to do it, or do I need to lock down the architecture at the birth of a project?
We are very pleased that you found the topic interesting. To answer your question I should say that you simply need to open a new DoDAF project and import the previously created SysML project into it. For this, click *File* > *Import From* > *Another Project* and select that SysML project.
My comment is somehow negative. Explanations based on "samples" are unclear and are obviously not theory. Speaker is speaking much too fast for people whose english is a non native foreign language (too many concepts said too fast per sentence). You should let blank spaces between spaces in order for the listener to have time to think to what you have just said. Noises of mouth while speaking are very unpleasant and disturbing for the quality of the listening. I apologize for that but it is better that you know it for improvment of the communication.
