And Forsberg: my favorite player. By the way; we love Canada. PS. I've been a fan of another great Canadian; Neil Young. The friendship between our countries will always be true. DS.
Maybe I would rate the teams: 1: Canada 2: Sweden 3: Russia 4: Finland 5: Czech Republic 6: USA 7: Slovakia 8: Schweiz 9: Lettland 10: Belarus and/or Germany
Swe team was really strong that year. Hedman, Ekman-Larsson, Brodin, Klingberg are top-4 of Olympic Swe defense roster. Not talking about offense (Landeskog etc).
I am being 100 percent serious here. I want to say that I educated myself on Sweden as a country and wow, politically Sweden sounds like an amazing country. I apologize you the things I have said before about Sweden, I was completely ignorant and I get very mad when defending my country. So I apologize.
Jennifer Calderone I understand that you get all rilled up when defending your country, we all do. That why every swede in here will go all out on you when you bash on us. The hate that everyone feel during these kind of matches is only natural :) Anyways, we got a good game and lets hope for alot more!
Jennifer Calderone Besides all that, Canada is the only country i would consider moving to if i ever were to live somewhere else than sweden. Love the NHL, too bad the matches doesnt sync up with CET :(
It's cool we get it. Living in a nation with those healthcare waiting lists, only known for being next to the US and losing despite biased referees definitely builds up a lot of bitterness. It's fine 😉
Game 1 Sweden 1 -- 2 Russia Game 2 Germany 2 - 7 Sweden Game 3 USA 4-3 Sweden Game 4 Sweden 2-0 Latvia Game 5 Sweden 8-1 Italy Game 6 Denmark 2-4 Sweden Game 7 Sweden 4-2 Slovakia Quarterfinal Switzerland 1-3 Sweden SemiFinal Sweden 3-1 Finland Final Canada 1-1 Sweden Overtime Canada 1-1 Sweden Overtime Sweden win over canada Sweden play 11 gams and win 8 gams Sverige är bästa landet i värden
Alltså jag hade nästan glömt bort att vi vann i år, var ju inget bländande spel generellt sett från oss, lol. I had almost forgotten we won this year, it's not like we played our best hockey ever overall, lol.
Watching this after the NHL 22 IIHF update. I'm playing Sweden and they don't have Backstrom on the team. When I play as Sweden he's definitely going to be on my team. I plan on playing as USA, Canada, Sweden, Russia and maybe Czech Republic if Jagr is on team.
Sweden never get up.= Sverige ger sig aldrig! Hoppas på många fler trevliga matcher!. Kul när Usa, Canada or Russia spelar mot Sverige! Älskar dessa matcher!
...But in the end they didn't win 3 straight. Btw, did you know that so far, Sweden is the only team to have won both the olympics and the world championship the same year? Since we where speaking about seemingly random achivements.
Lol and whats your point? Sweden has won only 1 best vs best tournament in its entire hockey existence, the 2006 Winter Olympics, Canada has won 10 of the 14 best vs best tournaments ever held. Humble yourself little Swede.
Current world rankings as in the best hockey team is 1. Canada 2. Sweden 3. USA 4. Team North America 5. Russia 6. Finland 7. Team Europe 8. Czech Republic I'm a swede
I wonder why Nylander let's the Maple Leafs introduce him from CALGARY CANADA and not Sweden. There are guys on the Leafs from Sweden and they get introduced from Sweden. Not Nylander though.. wonder Why???
Christian Krillz I'm coming back because I get notifications that people KEEP replying. I could say the same thing, why not let it go and not continue with comments? At this point you don't seem to understand that I'm getting a kick out of bothering you people lol. Also, you guys can't have a debate or have someone that has a different opinion than you. If they do all you guys just call me names and say things that a child would say. So yeah after a hard day at the office and I come home and get notifications that you guys have responded AGAIN, I'm going to keep getting under your skin. There is no use saying that I'm not getting under your skin cause you keep writing back and normally have no intelligent to say just insults. So exactly like I said before, if you guys keep making comments so will I. And I sleep well at night not thinking at all about how I seem to be pissing off a nation lol.
Keep replying? that's a lie. Like 2 of your comments got someone answering you. Just admit it, you go here and talk trash at the Swedes so it feels better that Canada lost
Players were good enough, coach and his team were shit and unfortunately that's what we are going to suffer in the Olympics as well, the most important tournament there is.... jesus fucking christ I can already see Finland dropping like a fly from the medal games because of those assholes. You give those coaches gold and they can turn it into coal.
Someone on here was talking about how the 2018 number 1 draft pick will most likely be a Swedish guy. If he does go number 1 he will be the 2nd Swedish player to go number 1 in the NHL draft. Matts Sundin was the first in case you were wondering. Now for a nation that is suppose to be so good at hockey, one in which Canada has had to go to for help with our players, ( which I do not believe AT ALL ) why do you only have 1 number 1 draft pick in the whole history of the NHL? Just curious..
Well, does anyone really care who gets picked first? Seems to me it´s just all about bragging rights wich goes out the window right away when the league sets off and you have to perform under pressure. Peter Forsberg was picked 6th, and look what he did, there are numerous of other players apart from Sweden that are superstars today. Sorry but you strike me as alittle bit bitter, what´s up with that? Canada is great at hockey, we all know that, but so is Sweden if you think about how many players the country produces, right? I´m most confident both countries have benefitted from each other, i mean, just look at how well they play together in the league. What more is there to say?
TheMysteriouswatcher because Swedish hockey players are NOT the best players in the NHL like you idiots would like to believe. Canada has the BEST players in the NHL and than maybe Russians, or Americans? but defienetly not Swedish players
