One of my favourites! I love Grieg's original, and I also love Kamelot's adaptation in 'Forever' - but I love this one even more. There is a long line of Grieg inspired Metal actually - Helloween borrowed from Hall Of The Mountain King on their debut album and Savatage did in Hall of the Mountain King album. The one thing they have in common is they're all great - and I think that could be because if people are inspired by Grieg or other great Classical music - it expands their creativity!
We have used more from Grieg than this, and I think you're right. It translates very well into Heavy Metal. I particularly love Savatage's stuff. - Heri
Amazing song. I'm really fascinated to Norse Paganism even I am not born in a Scandinavian country but your songs really connects me to the path and the lessons offered by gods and goddesses. Sending my love and support to you from the Philippines 🤘🤘
@@Tyrband Hello sir. I really enjoy your music. This one is my favorite for sure 😁Can you please clarify me two things about the lyrics and its translation? What does "charge high ones" refers to? And the two words ognast osígur means exactally "deafeated"?
