I'm still using it, it's my daily driver. It still works. Except the calibration issue, the unit is OK. Test it first. If the final values are out of whack, I suggest replacing the unit, because calibrating it each time is NO fun.
Ion Tesu just received it checked one battery it balance charge 1 cell 4.21 and the other 4.19 so not out to bad. I want to check a few more batteries until I try calibrating. Have you tried the press save twice to save the calibration permanently?
Excellent I am awaiting the arrival of mine. I'm sure everything will not be perfect. As much as we would like to be. I am now going to subscribe to your channel. I appreciate your input and video.
KEITH KUHN thank you. I’m still using it. Except the calibration and the relatively small discharge current, it’s a good charger. Hope it’s going to work out for you.
Same with mine. From one day to another it started showing 0,4 volts more on cell 4, I can recalibrate it, but after power off it forgets. CH2 is still good. Really disturbing.
Hi Tesu, I think I am having a calibration deviation. Same you, I don´t have a 6S lipo. I can see how you´ve connected de main connector, but I can´t see how you connected the balance connectors. 6S balance connector has 7 pins, but 2 x 3S connectors have 8 pins. I dont want to do a short circuit :) Thanks in advance for your help and support
Just got my charger. Looks like they have not fixed the calibration memory issue. I tried to connect the charger to my computer and it wouldn't recognize is. Thought maybe a firmware update would be available.
wow, no firmware update. Hmmm. I should have gone with the Hobbymate D6 Duo. I bet it doesn't have issues like this one, in fact, I bet the Hobbymate is the most accurate on the market and with the most features.. Darn, I have already opened it.
@@iontesu2911 Yeah that's the thing, it's dead when I use DC power. Even though it's according to spec (12v 250w). Now I want to try C240 but not sure if it's a good idea or not.
Buna Mihai. Uite cum faci: având poziționată mufa de balansare a încărcătorului cu conectorul 2S sus și conectorul 6S jos, introduci mufa de balansare 3S de la prima baterie in mufa 5S in partea dreapta si mufa de balansare 3S de la a doua baterie in mufa 6S (care se afla poziționată sub mufa 5S) in partea stingă. Trebuie sa forțezi foarte puțin intrarea mufelor de la baterii in mufa încărcătorului, deoarece una din excrescențele mufei bateriei nu are unde sa intre, dar merge fără probleme. Am si o poza nu știu unde s-o trimit, c-as face-o. Da-mi de știre daca mai ai dubii.
pare interesant. desi cred ca trebuie reparat de nou !! :) are vreun FW care rezolva problema asta ?
I have two issues with this charger: the calibration values that get lost and also the fact that the DC input to the charger is NOT working. It could be my unit only. Regarding the calibration, I checked with a good DMM that the final voltage values match the readings on the charging unit. They do within 10mV. The fact that the DC input is not working creates a problem because I can't use it in the field with a larger battery to charger my other batteries. Also when powering from the wall the max current is smaller. Just read carefully the specs for charging. If you're OK with the max current when having only AC power, than that's fine. Good luck.
If you don't need that feature you're OK. The overall construction is quite good. Screen is nice. Features are plenty. It's a good unit. I'm using it to charge everything I have at home. I got 11 LiPos 4s 1800mAh, two batteries for FPV goggles and several large batteries. It takes 2-3 hours to charge everything, which is good. The fan is a little bit louder, but it doesn't really bother me. The price is also very good. I'd like to ask you something: if you end up buying the unit can you try to see if the DC input is working? I have the suspicion that this feature is not working in ANY unit. Thanks.
@@iontesu2911 i am trying to charge my 3S 2200mah at the rate that everyone says to charge batteries at , which is 1A rate. What do i set the rate to on this battery, 2.2A charge rate? is that the same thing as 1A charge rate that everyone says to use? Im confused , so sorry, any help is appreciated, you seem VERY smart with this stuff.
@@iontesu2911 -- When you say you checked with a DMM and the final values match, is this a good thing? In other words, are we good on the calibration getting lost at shut-down (turn-off)? Or is that still a huge problem?
